The surprising story behind Her World’s Blackpink Lisa video
It wasn’t filmed by the Her World team. Here’s how Singapore actor Tyler Ten ended up capturing Blackpink Lisa’s entrance at Shiseido’s Bangkok event

If you’ve seen our video of Blackpink’s Lisa making her entrance at Shiseido’s Ultimune Studio: Lisa’s Backstage event, here’s a fun behind-the-scenes fact: it wasn’t filmed by the Her World team.
The clip was actually captured by Singaporean actor Tyler Ten, who represented Singapore at the opening of the immersive experience at Bangkok’s centralwOrld on 3 July.
Seated in the front row, Tyler had one of the best views in the house as Lisa made a special homecoming appearance as the face of Shiseido’s iconic Ultimune franchise. The emotional occasion was made even more meaningful by the presence of Lisa’s mother, who was spotted in the audience cheering her on.
“It was definitely an honour,” Tyler tells Her World. “Being surrounded by so many talents from across the region made me realise how special opportunities like this are. To be there representing Singapore was something I was really proud of, and I felt grateful that Shiseido trusted me to be part of such a meaningful event.”
The star-studded launch brought together celebrities, creators and brand ambassadors from across the region. Among those in attendance were Thai actor Win Metawin, Thai actress Anne Thongprasom, BUS members Phutatchai “Tatchai” Limpanyakul and Peemwasu “Peem” Pornpananurak, EmiBonnie duo Emi Thasorn Klinnium and Bonnie Pattraphus Borattasuwan, Shiseido India brand ambassador Tamannaah Bhatia, Taiwanese actor Patrick Shih, Korean personalities Sera Song and Jeongjin Park, Malaysian multi-hyphenate Jestinna Kuan, Indonesian actress-singer Sherina Munaf, Vietnamese creator Hannah Ohlala and Filipino-Canadian performer AC Bonifacio.
For Tyler, seeing the global superstar in person was one of the day’s biggest highlights.
“It was surreal,” he says. “You always see her on stage or online, but seeing her in person, you really understand why she has such an incredible presence. She’s naturally charismatic and carries herself with so much confidence, but at the same time, she came across as very warm and approachable. It was a memorable moment to witness someone who’s inspired so many people around the world.”
Designed to recreate Lisa’s backstage beauty journey while bringing Shiseido’s Fast Slow Free philosophy to life, the experience invited guests to explore interactive installations, receive personalised skin analysis using Shiseido’s Skin Visualiser technology, and discover the science behind the brand’s iconic Ultimune Power Infusing Serum.
Beyond the immersive installations, the launch also celebrated Shiseido’s evolving philosophy of embracing every stage of life — a message that resonated with Tyler.
“I really connect with that message because I think growth comes from embracing every stage of life rather than constantly trying to hold onto the past,” he says. “As an actor, every year brings new experiences that shape how I see the world and how I approach my work. Instead of worrying about getting older, I’d rather focus on becoming better at what I do and continuing to learn. To me, confidence comes from growth, and that’s something worth celebrating.”
The event also marked the regional debut of Shiseido’s collaboration with acclaimed Japanese graphic artist Verdy. His signature illustrations — including fan-favourite character Vick — appeared throughout the space via exclusive artwork and limited-edition collectibles.
Closer to home, from 20 to 26 July 2026, the Ultimune x Verdy’s World pop-up will arrive at Plaza Singapura (Atrium 1A), bringing Verdy’s iconic character Vick, camellia-inspired motifs and the newly illustrated female character, Girl, to Singapore.
Visitors can also look forward to interactive beauty experiences, exclusive merchandise and the opportunity to discover the latest innovations behind Shiseido’s cult-favourite Ultimune serum.
