Cheers erupted across Bangkok’s centralwOrld as Blackpink’s Lisa made a special homecoming appearance on 3 July for the opening of Shiseido’s Ultimune Studio: Lisa’s Backstage.

Returning to her home country as the face of Shiseido’s iconic Ultimune franchise, the global superstar was welcomed by an enthusiastic crowd of fans. Taking to the stage, Lisa thanked everyone for their warm reception, sharing that she had missed her fans and expressing her gratitude to everyone who had waited to see her.

The appearance also marked a moment of reflection after what has already been a historic year for the singer. Speaking on stage, Lisa looked back on becoming the first Thai artist and K-pop performer to present at a major international awards ceremony—one of several milestones in a career that continues to break new ground.

But amid the whirlwind of global appearances, one thing has remained constant: her skincare routine.

“I can’t live without Ultimune,” she shared. “I use it every morning, every night, and even before my makeup.”

As a longtime user of Shiseido’s bestselling serum, Lisa said the product has become a non-negotiable part of her daily routine—a fitting endorsement for a campaign centred on resilience, confidence and evolving into the best version of yourself.

Stepping into Lisa’s backstage world

Running from now to 9 July, Ultimune Studio: Lisa’s Backstage transforms Bangkok’s centralwOrld into an immersive beauty destination inspired by Shiseido’s “Fast.Slow.Free” philosophy.

The experience takes visitors through interactive installations inspired by Lisa’s backstage rituals, alongside personalised skin analysis powered by Shiseido’s Skin Visualiser technology, Japanese-inspired beauty experiences and a closer look at the science behind the Ultimune Power Infusing Serum.

The event also marks the regional debut of Shiseido’s collaboration with Japanese graphic artist Verdy, whose signature illustrations—including his beloved character Vick—bring a playful, contemporary energy to the activation through exclusive artwork and limited-edition collectibles.

How other stars maintain their confidence with backstage beauty rituals

Lisa wasn’t the only celebrity sharing what confidence and self-care look like behind the scenes.

Taiwanese actor Patrick Shih revealed that simplicity is key to his routine.

“My daily life and habits are quite simple and minimal,” he told Her World. “Just like how I take care of my skin—I use one “small red bottle” [Ultimune]. For men, it’s perfect because it’s a one-and-done product that helps optimise your skin.”

When asked how his definition of confidence has evolved over the years, Patrick said he’s still focused on growth.

“I’ll always continue learning and pushing forward.”

Veteran Thai actress Anne Thongprasom reflected on the lessons she’s learnt throughout her career, saying she would tell her younger self to embrace every moment and not be afraid of making mistakes.

“Every experience makes you stronger,” she shared.

For Indian actress Tamannaah Bhatia, Shiseido’s newest ambassador in India, the partnership feels deeply personal because she was already a loyal customer long before joining the brand.

“I was a consumer first,” she told Her World. “That makes this very personal.”

She added that Shiseido’s relentless focus on innovation is what resonates with her most.

“They’re constantly focused on innovation and creating products that become even more effective. That hunger for innovation is what connects me to the brand.”

The campaign’s message of evolving rather than ageing also struck a chord with the actress.

“We’re constantly evolving and changing. Being able to accept that is so important,” she said. “Here we have a brand that becomes your companion through that journey.”

Her one non-negotiable skincare essential?

“I always have my Ultimune serum in my bag. It’s my one night-time ritual, and I’m good to go.”

Thai duo Emi and Bonnie, meanwhile, defined beauty from within through self-love, positive energy and looking after the people around you. Bonnie shared that she’s always reminding Emi to eat, while Emi described Bonnie as the friend who’s always by her side whenever she’s feeling low.
