Chef Jung Ho-young from Culinary Class Wars collaboration with Bulgogi Syo (from 9 March)

Can’t get enough of Culinary Class Wars? Well, fans of the show can now taste the dishes by Jung Ho-young, a Top 4 finalist from Season 2 who’s affectionately nicknamed the “Dancing Fairy” for his playful K-pop dance moves in the kitchen. The star was recently in Singapore to unveil his latest collaboration with Bulgogi Syo, introducing an exclusive menu of his signature dishes to diners here.

The menu features some of his signature creations, including the rich Monkfish Liver Chawanmushi (that was featured in Culinary Class Wars S2) and Grilled Sea Eel with Yeongeun Manju, paired with a delicate lotus root pastry. Diners can also try favourites from his restaurant Udon Caden, such as Beef Curry Udon with Pork Belly Yakitori, Crispy Prawn Croquette with Sesame Sauce, and Citrus-Soy Grilled Cod Fish.

The special menu is available at all Bulgogi Syo outlets in Singapore.

MO Bar’s new menu - Vol 7: Modern Localism, The City of Art

MO BAR has unveiled Vol. 7: Modern Localism, The City of Art, a bold new cocktail menu that spotlights Singapore’s creative landscape through 15 vibrant drinks. The menu is designed to reflect the rhythm of a day in Singapore, taking guests on a journey from morning to afternoon and into the night. It also brings together 11 collaborators from fields such as perfumery, design, food, music and other creative industries, all selected by the MO BAR team for their dedication to craft, heritage and the personal stories behind their work.

We tried a few drinks from the menu, starting with Velour Kiss, a Hendrick’s Gin–based cocktail that is light, refreshing and perfect for Singapore’s warm weather. Espresso martini fans should try the Kopi Pumptini, MO BAR’s local take on the classic. The drink is made with roasted barley Michter’s bourbon and kopi-o, and is finished with a sweet cracker garnish with subtle hints of pumpkin.

For something a little more indulgent, go for Dopa? Dopa. It’s the collaboration with artisan ice cream parlour Dopa Dopa Creamery that’s located along South Bridge Road. Here, the drink highlights pistachio kunafa, a flavour that has gained popularity recently with the ongoing kunafa craze. It’s thick, rich and easy to drink, making it a great choice for anyone who has a sweet tooth.

MO Bar is located at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, 5 Raffles Ave., Floor 3, Singapore 039797
