Corona Sunsets Session (31 January)

Corona Sunsets Sessions—the iconic music festival series by Corona beer—is making its way to adults-only beach club +Twelve on 31 January 2026 (Saturday).

Running from 4pm to 9pm, expect feel-good, golden hour beats courtesy of DJ Ollie`Des and DJ Jagi, soundtracking an easy-going evening of sipping, dipping, and soaking up the island vibes. And because it wouldn’t be a proper Corona sunset session without ice-cold beers, there’ll also be an exclusive 1-for-1 Corona deal as the sun goes down, alongside beach games to keep the weekend energy going.

Anytime Fitness’ Battle of the Purple Champions (31 January)

Fitness competitions in Singapore have been on the rise lately, and if you’re looking for a fun and new challenge this year to join with your friends, consider Anytime Fitness Singapore’s first-ever fitness competition - Battle of the Purple Champions (BOPC). Happening on Saturday, 31st January at OCBC Square, this new community-led, team-based fitness challenge is open to members and non-members of Anytime Fitness. In a group of four, you will be tasked to complete four functional stations, which include:

  • Moving Day: rearranging furniture according to a given layout
  • Sandbag Shuffle: lift, load and push sandbags
  • Bike Race: each member has to ride 2km each with added resistance
  • Champion’s Climb: A stair-climbing finale with kettlebells and obstacles

Over $10,000 worth of prizes are up for grabs, including a cash pool of up to $7,000, along with 12-month memberships and rewards from sponsors.

However, if you’re there to just spectate, there will also be other activities like quick-hit challenges, live demonstrations, and friendly contests with prizes and giveaways, as well as other wholesome bites, recovery experiences, and mini fitness for life stations, where you can join in the fun (and perhaps take a prize home as well).

HighHouse 2nd Anniversary: The Penthouse (30 January)

Raise your glasses up! HighHouse will be celebrating its second anniversary this week. To mark the momentous occasion, the rooftop bar and restaurant will be hosting a party inspired by The Penthouse—think Great Gatsby meets modern nightlife. Expect small bites, plus a shot roulette making its rounds to keep the energy high.

The night will also be soundtracked by Calista Liaw, a world-class erhu virtuoso, alongside guest shifts by Farhan Azman of Madame Claude and Isaac Wong from Taylor Adam, who will be serving bespoke cocktails crafted exclusively for the evening.

Garden of Senses: A Tea Reverie (28 January to 7 June)

The Asian Civilisations Museum has just spilt the tea: they’ll be teaming up with international tea brand CHAGEE and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to launch Garden of Senses: A Tea Reverie—an immersive showcase that dives into the history and craftsmanship of, well, tea. Expect a multi-sensory journey across six curated zones, featuring historic tea wares, tactile tools, fragrance-led encounters, and contemporary art commissions by local artists Ashley Yeo and Alecia Neo.

Of course, the showcase wouldn’t be complete without CHAGEE. Fans will be glad to know the brand is also setting up an exclusive pop-up serving its full beverage menu, alongside merchandise previously available only in China, plus limited-edition plush charms that blend tea heritage with Singapore’s iconic Merlion.

Singapore Art Week (14 to 31 January)

Singapore Art Week (SAW) returns from 22 to 31 January 2026, bringing the city back into full creative mode. Organised by the National Arts Council, it marks Singapore’s biggest visual arts season and a key moment for both the local and international arts community to come together.

Happening across venues all over the island, SAW invites you to slow down and explore art in many forms. From exhibitions and large-scale installations to artist talks and panel discussions, there’s plenty to see and learn. If you’re looking for something more hands-on, the programme also includes workshops that you can try on your own or with friends, making it an easy way to spend a day discovering something new together this weekend.

Singapore Art Week is located at various locations across the island. Visit the website here for more information.

NEW: Medusa Italian Osteria Romana (from 10 January)

There’s a new Italian hotspot in town, and it’s none other than Medusa, the third and latest concept by the Fortuna Group, following the much-loved Fortuna Italian Trattoria & Pizzeria and Fortuna Terrazza Café.

Unlike its sister outlets, Medusa draws inspiration from the flavours of Rome. Think thin-crust Roman pizzas, comforting classic pastas, and even a show-stopping fried burrata carbonara. Our personal favourite is the Suppli al Telefono — a fried arborio rice ball filled with tomato pomodoro, fior di latte and pecorino fondue. Best enjoyed piping hot, it delivers that perfect cheese pull. Other must-orders include the Burrata Fritta alla Carbonara and the Mezze Maniche Amatriciana.

The space itself is just as memorable as the food. Dressed in bold crimson red from wall to wall, Medusa easily stands out from the crowd and doubles as a photo-worthy backdrop for your next girls’ night out.

Spring Blossoms @ Gardens by the Bay (16 January to 1 March)

Just in time for Lunar New Year, Gardens by the Bay is ushering in its much-loved Spring Blossoms display at the Flower Dome from 16 January onwards. Wander through the exhibition and take in elegant Chinese blooms as the space transforms into a festive floral wonderland. And while you’re there, keep an eye out for the eight majestic horse lanterns, each towering at 2.6 metres high.

Insects may be tiny, but have you ever wondered what the world looks like from their point of view? At this exhibition at ArtScience Museum, you’ll experience striking new perspectives as you walk among insects with images towering up to seven feet high. Through the lens of award-winning British photographer Levon Biss, microscopic details are transformed into captivating visual encounters that reveal the hidden beauty of these often-overlooked creatures.

The exhibition features 37 monumental, high-magnification portraits of insects from the Oxford University Museum of Natural History’s collection, alongside cutting-edge scientific research from Singapore, offering both an artistic and scientific lens on the miniature world around us.

Light to Night Festival (9 to 31 January)

The annual Light to Night festival returns this month for its 10th edition, and it’s bigger and better than ever. This year’s theme, “The Power in Us”, celebrates the strength of community, the richness of diverse perspectives, and the power of connection as people come together to experience and co-create art.

To mark this milestone edition, you can look forward to a line-up of feature artworks and programmes that span festival favourites, new in-gallery experiences, guided tours, and more. Highlights include a series of interactive art installations under a brand-new programme titled SANTAI, inspired by the Malay word meaning “to relax”. The series invites audiences to gather as they encounter compelling artworks across five key locations around the historic Civic District — the Padang, Empress Lawn, Front Lawn at The Arts House, ACM Green, and Esplanade Park.

Even better, it’s lightweight too, weighing in at just about 208g, so your legs won’t feel weighed down while you run.

To celebrate the launch, New Balance is hosting a community pop-up at Suntec City Atrium (Convention Centre) from 13 to 18 January, where you can try on the new pair and even take them out for a test run. You can also take part in the 1080km Challenge from 1 to 18 January, where you track your runs and stand a chance to be one of the top three runners to walk away with a pair of 1080v15s.
