Chef-artist Janice Wong recently launched rei, Asia’s first chef-led wellness confectionery brand, built around the use of pure, natural ingredients. Instead of refined sugar or artificial sugar substitutes, rei uses natural sweeteners such as raw honey, maple syrup, dates and whole fruits.

A must-try is the Matcha Honey Basque Cheesecake, which is gluten-free and contains just 270kcal. Made with rich matcha and pure honey, the cheesecake is creamy and surprisingly light for its decadent flavour. You might even find it hard to believe that the whole slice comes in at just 270kcal.

Other highlights include the Sticky Date Pudding at 205kcal and Honey Ice Cream at just 74kcal. Both offer a satisfying way to curb your sweet cravings while keeping things on the lighter side.

An Acai Affair

There’s perhaps no better way to a Singaporean girl’s heart than a good bowl of açaí. A staple on the list of healthy dessert favourites, açaí is a go-to for those looking to satisfy their sweet tooth while still making a lighter choice.

An Acai Affair seems to have proven that theory, with more than 18 locations across the island. The brand serves 100 per cent organic, undiluted açaí in its purest form, with no guarana syrup or apple juice concentrate. Its extensive menu also offers plenty of ways to enjoy it, from customisable DIY bowls to sourdough toasts. The brand has also recently introduced a no-sugar menu, where its açaí is naturally blended and sweetened with monk fruit and allulose for a lower-sugar option.
