It has been a year since Australian frozen yogurt chain Yo-Chi landed in Singapore, yet the queues outside its 313@Somerset outlet show no signs of slowing down.

For those who’ve visited Australia, the frenzy here might seem baffling. There, Yo-Chi is just another neighbourhood fro-yo spot. It’s not often you see staff wielding “Stop” and “Go” signs to manage snaking queues, and seats so quickly taken you’ll need to arrive early just to snag a table — or even a public bench nearby within the mall.

Although the endless array of toppings, flavours and self-serve counters keeps drawing us back, sometimes waiting over an hour, squeezing through crowded stations is just simply too overwhelming for a sweet treat.

So if you’re looking to still get your yogurt fix – silky, creamy or even cold-brewed – here are five other fro-yo places that might just become your new go-to spot.

  1. 1. Yoajung
  2. 2. MoreYogurt
  3. 3. Yogurt Planet
  4. 4. Syip
  5. 5. Oatsome
  6. 6. Jia’s and Fusion
  7. 7. Soft Spot Acai
  8. 8. Smooy
  9. 9. Yole
  10. 10. Llaollao

Yoajung

This widely famous Korean frozen yogurt chain located in SCAPE is even a favourite amongst K-pop idols. Located just a walk away from Yo-Chi, Yoajung serves customisable yogurt bowls starting from just $3. There are over 30 toppings available, including nine types of cereal, fresh fruits ranging from strawberries, blueberries, and shine-muscat grapes, as well as add-on bakes like brownies, cheesecake and mochi cubes. You’ll even find other sweet treats on their menu like pistachio kunafa and biscoff crunch cups. K-pop fans can even opt for your favourite idol’s curated orders – including ENHYPEN’s Sunoo and Jungwon – available on the menu.
