From honouring a beloved homegrown entrepreneur to recognising a fearless pro bono lawyer, this year’s Her World Women of the Year gala celebrated women whose work leaves a lasting mark

Her World’s 35th Woman of the Year gala returned on 30 October 2025 at the lush Equarius Hotel, Resorts World Sentosa, to honour two women whose work continues to shape Singapore in lasting ways. Anastasia Tjendri-Liew, founder of the iconic Bengawan Solo, received the Woman of the Year award, while Sadhana Rai, chief representation officer at Pro Bono SG, was named Young Woman Achiever 2025 for her leadership in making justice more accessible.

Among the evening’s notable guests were Guest-of-Honour Madam Halimah Yacob, Singapore’s former president and a Woman of the Year 2003 honouree, and Jennie Chua, Her World’s Woman of The Year 1999, and chairman of Temasek Foundation. Supported by Shopee, SingTel, Resorts World Sentosa, and Cle de Peau Beaute, the event brought together leaders in business, the arts, and healthcare, along with mentors and mentees from the Her World Mentorship Programme, for a night that honoured legacy, purpose, and the strength of women uplifting women.
