This is the year of brooches and here’s how to style it

Brooches are experiencing a resurgence as a popular fashion trend, on the runways and on the streets. Styled in various ways, from usual placements on blazers or shirts to chaotic styling choices using multiple brooches at once (Cynthia Erivo we’re looking at you), the possibilities are endless.

This revival has also sparked interest in vintage and retro designs as well as interesting placements like how Sydney Sweeney placed her floral brooch on the collar of her evening gown (yup, she did away with the statement necklace and replaced it with a brooch).

On the Spring/Summer 2025 runways of Carolina Herrera, creative director Wes Gordon styled a gold floral brooch on a scarf and wrapped it around the hip of a simple black dress elevating the whole ensemble into an evening look.
