If you're born in the month of June, then you'd be lucky enough to have three birthstones — pearl, alexandrite and moonstone — to call your own. And that's great because that just gives all the June babies more options to choose from! But what do they all represent?

Pearl

The pearl is undoubtedly the most popular June birthstone. It's classic, timeless and it has become a staple in fashion for many years. Commonly associated with a sense of purity, humility, and innocence, it was also said that the pearl has beneficial properties, such as the ability to bestow long life and prosperity on those who have possession of one.

Alexandrite

This fascinating birthstone changes colour in different lighting. In the daylight, the birthstone appears to have a beautiful shade of green with a brown tint. However, when it's under artificial lighting, it changes to a reddish-violet shade. The stone was first discovered in Russia in the early 19th century. Ever since then, it quickly became a favourite of Russian royalty. The stone has also been said to enhance the intellect and invite good luck.

Moonstone

The moonstone is believed to represent feminine energy and has long been associated with the spiritual, world. Renowned for its adularescence, the stone is also a popular favourite amongst wearers as it symbolises strength and balance, and it also has a historic significance with royalty.
