The month of June has just started and it's already power-packed with loads of fun activities for you to do over the weekends. But if you're still in the midst of planning your weekend itinerary this week, then look no further. From the highly anticipated i Light Singapore 2022 to the all-new Wellness Festival, ahead, we've done the legwork to find the best activities for you to check out this June.

Check out the light installations at i Light Singapore 2022

Singapore's leading sustainable light festival, i Light Singapore, is back after a two-year hiatus from 3 June to 26 June! As part of the festival, here, you can expect to see 20 light art installations done by 57 artists, across 14 countries, of which 9 installations are done by locals.

Be prepared to be mesmerised by these beautiful light art installations that are spread out around Marina Bay, starting from Marina Bay Sands to the Esplanade Park. Some of the key installations you should keep an eye out for include the highly raved Firefly Field located at The Promontory at Marina Bay, the Light Canvas outside the Red Dot Design Museum, and the Lightwave: Isle of Light empowered by Oppo (which is the only segment that's ticketed).

Indulge in good food and good vibes at GastroBeats

While you're checking out the light installations at Marina Bay, be sure to also make a pitstop over at GastroBeats located at the Bayfront Event Space, beside Marina Bay Sands. This year, the festival will see an extensive lineup of food stalls that include familiar food chains like An Acai Affair, Antidote, BoxGreen, Zenko Superfoods, Alley and more. Sarah Todd along with chefs George Calombaris (Australia), Genevieve Lee (Singapore) and Derek Cheong (Singapore) from MasterChef, will also be offering a collaborative menu, over at Culinary Masters by Sarah Todd.

And of course, the festival is not complete without live music, and you can definitely look forward to performances on the main stage. Alternatively, there are loads of activities for you to try as well including the art zone, where you can try your hands at graffiti art, or you can check out the food-themed inflatable park, Jumptopia, which boasts 8 playful food-themed inflatables.

Penang Hawkers' Fare returns to York Hotel Singapore

Craving for some sumptuous Penang food? We've got you covered. From 3 June to 19 June, York Hotel Singapore will be bringing back its Penang Hawkers’ Fare this June. Whether you're going for lunch or dinner, the buffet at White Rose Cafe will include a repertoire of perennial favourites such as Penang Laksa, Char Kway Teow, Oyster Omelette, Roti Canai and Ban Chang Kueh. More interestingly, the food will also be prepared on the spot at the live stations by the familiar hawkers from Penang.

Happening from 2 June onwards, the trailer will make its first stop at Paya Lebar Quarter (2 to 5 June), Hillion (9 to 12 June), 16 to 19 June (Canberra Plaza), and finally at Suntec City (26 to 29 June). As part of the experience, you'll also have the chance to have a one-on-one consultation with Clarins beauty advisors to understand more about your skin concerns, and you'll get to bring home a personalised sample kit and a Clarins-inspired ice-cold brew in partnership with Hook Coffee.

Celebrate World Environment Day at A Conscious Affair

In celebration of World Environment Day on 5 June, digital travel leader Booking.com will be hosting an exclusive art x food pop-up experience, called A Conscious Affair, over at plant-based resto-bar Analogue Initiative. There will also be an exclusive tasting menu curated in partnership with resto-bar Analogue with dishes that are inspired by iconic destinations around the world like Japan, Spain and Morocco.

Bringing sustainability and environmental consciousness to the fore, the online travel site has also engaged Mama Magnet (Singapore) and artist Human Spectrum (Thailand), to create a beautiful and interactive installation, called “As We Move”, which invites you to interact with the light-focused piece via your own movements — it's a feast for your senses!

Refresh, rejuvenate and relax at the first-ever Wellness Festival Singapore

The inaugural Wellness Festival Singapore will be happening from 3 to 12 June and you can look forward to more than 130 holistic wellness experiences across the island, from Sentosa to Changi. But what is the festival all about you might ask? Well, first and foremost, the event is led by the Singapore Tourism Board and it boasts a 10-day line-up of activities to promote holistic wellbeing among Singaporeans.

Here, you can expect to see pop-ups including the Wellness Sensorium located at Gardens by the Bay which features six zones offering innovative and Instagrammable experiences. Some of them include:

- Stone Ritual: Visitors can try their hands at stone stacking to heighten their spatial awareness

- Light & Sound Bath: This station features soothing lights and sound waves to induce a state of calm

- Spin Orchestra: Go for a spin on the stationary bikes that are fitted with motion sensors that activate lights and sounds when you start cycling

- Monument of Good Vibes: Pen down your thoughts and feelings about what you're grateful for today

Crossing Cultures at ACM: Makan Market

If you're looking to soak in some food and culture, than this is the weekend activity for you. Multidisciplinary content creation and consultancy studio, Studio29 will be setting up Crossing Cultures at ACM: Makan Market, a fun market located outside of the Asian Civilization Museum.

Taking inspiration from objects in the galleries, Crossing Cultures explores ACM's collection through intangible cultural heritage – past and present – and explores explore ‘Makan Culture’ and the diverse Asian traditions of dining and hospitality through an array of delectable food and activities. Expect yummy treats such as bak zhang from Chunking.sg, vegan pastries from Broad & Paj, Perenakan delights from Rumah Bebe, quench your thirst with fresh teh tarik, purchase vintage-inspired enamel tiffin containers from Katong enamel and try out fun activities such as bartering for recipes at the cookbook exchange counter and even give your containers a new lease of life at the container customisation station.
