Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is coming up very soon, and to say it’s a sought-after special occasion is an understatement. If you were lucky enough to grab tickets, a lot will be on your to-do list. You'd have to make friendship bracelets and revise your lyrics to sing-along (not that many of you diehard Swifties will need to).

On top of that list, you should be preparing your outfit for the concert. While we already have plenty of advice for that, Tay Tay coming to town is a special occasion that warrants wearing something special. Of course, we might still want to avoid wearing heels or open-toe sandals especially if you'll be roughing it out in the standing sections. But there are still plenty of ways you can look bedazzling while toughing out the crowd.

Taylor Swift's career has been marked by distinct eras, each characterised by its own unique style and aesthetic. From the country-inspired looks of her early years to the more sophisticated and glamorous outfits of her later albums, there's a wide range of inspiration to draw from. Ahead, we've rounded up some of the best looks that you can consider wearing for her upcoming gig in Singapore.

Taylor’s debut looks were less pop star and more country girl. Think white sundresses, which you can pair with cowboy boots, a ringlet hairstyle— and even a cowboy hat if you’re dedicated enough to the look.

Here's an example of one such sundress from TheVelvetDolls that reflects the innocence and youth characterising her debut album.

Fearless (2008): Gold sequin dress

Taylor began adopting a princess look during this period, picking up corseted dresses and sequined ball gowns, especially sparkly gold ones, with this gold sequin dress from ASOS being one example. To really evoke her look from this era, you can pair these dresses with a pair of riding boots.

Speak Now (2010): Purple homecoming dress

The princessy vibes only intensified in her next era. While the large flowy purple ball gowns she wore might not be practical, there are still dresses like this one from JJ’s House that you can wear in a concert setting while not compromising on style.

Red (2012): 'A LOT going on at the moment' T-Shirt

Taylor began a drastic style change with the advent of her Red album, ditching the princess for more hipster looks. Think vintage, black shorts and pearls. To show off your OG Swiftie credentials, you can wear a T-shirt she’s been wearing during her Eras tour so far with ‘A LOT going on at the moment' emblazoned on it, a play on her original ‘22’ music video where she wore a T-shirt with 'Not a lot going on at the moment'.

1989 (2014): Sequin mini skirt

Taylor meant it when she said "Welcome to New York". Get ready to put on an American accent, your brightest red lipstick and crop top and mini skirt sets, like this mini skirt from & Other Stories. To really complete the vibe, consider bringing your Polaroid camera.

Reputation (2017): Black sequin dress

What reputation means is Taylor entering her badass era. Think dark, crimson lipstick, jet-black body suits, sequin dresses and camouflage patterns.

Lover (2019): Heart wave sweater

Taylor Swift stepped into the sunlight again, with bright colourful outfits to match her bubbly colourful sound in this album. It's time to draw hearts around your eyes, put on pastel blue, pink or yellow tie-dye shirts or your most lovey-dovey sweaters like this one from Cider.

Folklore (2020): Crop knit cardigan

Folklore is synonymous with the cottagecore aesthetic: put on your white or gray cardigan, pair it with jeans, and you look all ready to sit by a fire or take a walk in the woods.

Evermore (2020): Plaid flannel trench coat

Evermore continues with the countryside aesthetic, but doubling down on the autumn palette. Look at more brown, beige colours, turn to more long coats and brown skirts to truly bring in that rustic feel - like with this plaid flannel trench coat.

Midnights (2022): Star print ruffle dress

Midnights takes on a more 70's theme. This means at-home casual wear, knit polos, corduroy pants that won't look out of place on a sitcom character of that era. But it can also mean roller disco vibes, like the star-themed blue dress she wore to announce the album. This star-print dress from Nasty Gal strives to evoke that spirit.
