There’s something about live music that just hits differently. Thankfully, after two years, concerts have finally made their way back to our sunny shores. We're stoked to finally sing and dance to our favourite idols but the question remains: what do we wear?
Finding the perfect outfit is almost ritualistic as it helps us slip into the right vibe for the setlist. On the other hand, some of us bought tickets just for the sake of attending something fun post-pandemic.
So, do we choose comfort and practicality – simple t-shirt and jeans – or do we dress to the nines and make this an event to remember? Fret not, here are a few suggestions to inspire you for the exciting night.
No matter the genre, channel your inner diva and go for an effortless crop top, wide-leg shorts, some cool kicks and a pair of simple hoops. Will everyone think you’re trying to look too cool for the concert? Probably, but who cares – the music is what truly matters.
These boots weren’t made for walking, they were made for stomping to the beat. Also, who needs a bag when you have cargo pants with tons of pocket space? Throw on a simple white top and add a bit of glimmer in the form of mismatched earrings to finish the look.
Unfortunately, some concerts just do not account for our busy work schedules. Go to the office prepared with a classic white button up but spruced up with funky flared pants and don’t forget a trusty cardigan in case it gets too cold in the office or at the concert venue. Finally, a matching clutch-shoe combo can never go wrong in any setting.
Let’s keep it real, we might not be huge fans of the artist. Maybe, we just tagged along with our bestie who is a crazy fan? Regardless, just wear the comfiest things you have in your closet – a polo t-shirt, a tennis skirt and a pair of flats. Oh, don’t forget a decent-sized bag to hold the necessities for your friend while they jump for joy.
Why settle for a simple outfit when you can dazzle the crowd just as much as the main act? Deck yourself out with a sequin dress, black boots and your finest jewellery. Cherish this long-awaited moment and don’t forget to take loads of selfies for the ‘gram.
