We’ve seen Charles & Keith on the likes of Blackpink, who wore them during their highly anticipated Born Pink World Tour, and now? The Singapore-born brand is making major waves on the MET Gala red carpet.
At this year’s MET Gala, which celebrated the Costume Institute’s new exhibition, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, five powerhouse women stepped out in custom Charles & Keith Michelle Platform Sandals—each one styled to match their unique look, and individually proving that the brand’s reach (and impact) has never looked stronger.
First up: Shakira, who brought a playful punch to the carpet in a custom pink pair of Michelle Recycled Polyester Platform Sandals, styled with her Prabal Gurung look.
Nicole Scherzinger, who’s always one to serve drama, went for a white textured satin version of the same heels, also dressed by Prabal Gurung. What we love about it is that the platforms complemented her look and added some height to her powerful, tailored silhouette.
Precious Lee, on the other hand, wore a custom-dyed brown pair that grounded her look in rich, earthy tones.
As for, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, who was also dressed in Prabal Gurung, turned heads when she appeared on the red carpet with a sophisticated yet striking red ensemble that was paired with custom Michelle Recycled Polyester Platform Sandals in Red.
Rouding off the list was none other than classical pianist Gina Alice, who also chose the white textured satin platforms, like Nicole Scherzinger, to complement her elegant ensemble.
It’s wild to think how far CHARLES & KEITH has come—from its roots in Singapore to now becoming a go-to name for global red carpets. The fact that their shoes are not just stylish, but also thoughtfully made (the recycled materials say it all), makes this moment even sweeter.
The best part? You can actually get your hands on these celeb-approved heels. The Michelle Platform Sandals are now available online and in-store at Charles & Keith, and come in White, Silver, and Gold. Even better—they’re priced under $100. So whether you’re dressing up for a night out with the girls or a special event on your calendar, this red carpet-ready pair is definitely worth adding to your rotation.
