Every year, the MET Gala brings fashion, flair, and full-on fantasy to the red carpet—but there’s something extra special about watching Asian stars put their own spin on it. This year’s theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, called for bold takes on menswear and sharp, personalised tailoring—and the Asian celebs in attendance seriously understood the assignment.

Lisa turned heads (and lit up social media) in a daring Louis Vuitton bodysuit that, at first glance, looked like cheeky lace lingerie—but zoom in, and you’d spot tiny portraits embroidered into the fabric. Jennie, on the other hand, went full Chanel in a tuxedo-inspired gown layered over a tailored jumpsuit, accessorised with pearls and a black hat that was very classic-with-a-twist. Anna Sawai

Anna Sawai absolutely owned the moment in an all-white Dior ensemble that was quietly powerful and incredibly polished. She paired a sharp white cotton gabardine blazer and trousers with a crisp poplin shirt, and tied it all together—literally—with matching accessories: a tie, gloves, and a wide-brimmed hat.  Clean, classic, and commanding, the whole look took over 160 hours to create, and it showed in every detail.

Jennie

Jennie stepped onto the blue carpet in a tuxedo-inspired gown from Chanel, the fashion house she’s long been an ambassador for. Her look was elevated with a dramatic train, layered pearl chains, and a black-and-white top hat—adding a playful, unexpected twist to the otherwise tailored ensemble.

Rose

Rose kept things effortlessly classy in an oversized black pantsuit, complete with a long train that flowed behind her.

Lisa

Shah Rukh Khan broke the internet with his Met Gala debut, stepping out in a floor-length black wool coat by Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Liu Wen turned heads at the 2025 Met Gala in a dragon-red vine-jacquard velvet suit by Burberry. With strong shoulders, a cinched waist, and a floor-length silhouette, the look was tailored from rich, tactile floral velvet—bold, refined, and unmistakably powerful.

Freen Sarocha

Valentino ambassador Freen Sarocha brought a dreamy, romantic vibe to the blue carpet. She layered a perfectly tailored cream jacket with fur trimmings over a sheer mesh top dotted with floral appliqués, and paired it with a flowy skirt that featured a subtle slit.
