The best looks at Star Awards 2026 ranked — and yes, there are surprises
From risk-takers to red carpet royalty, Star Awards 2026 brought the fashion drama — from bold swings to timeless wins, we’re breaking down and ranking the looks we loved (and the ones we’re still thinking about).
By Lena Kamarudin -
At Star Awards 2026, the red carpet felt like a confident step forward—stars took risks, and for that alone, they deserve applause.
There was a clear appetite for boldness this year, from statement silhouettes to eye-catching textures, even if not every look landed. Still, it was a reminder that sometimes, simplicity speaks the loudest: Jesseca Liu proved exactly that in an elegant white gown with a sweeping train, while Cheryl Chou turned heads in a slinky, understated number.
On the other end of the spectrum, Sheila Sim leaned all the way into fashion fantasy with a printed, fire-red exaggerated drop-waist Chanel dress—no easy feat, but if anyone could carry it, it’s her.
Then there’s our forever queen Zoe Tay, who once again delivered (this year in Valentino), striking that perfect balance between classic chic and just the right amount of pizazz.
And let’s not forget the men. They proved tailoring doesn’t have to be boring—anchored in sharp cuts but finished with personality, whether it was Tyler Ten’s scarf, Zhang Ze Tong’s fresh tulip brooch, or Desmond Tan’s oversized coat.
Here are some of our favourite looks from last evening.
Zoe Tay
The bob. The bangs. The plunge. The slit. A cheeky pop of pink — Zoe Tay really meant business in this Valentino number and Chaumet jewellery. At 58, she looks in-cre-di-ble, but it’s the confidence that seals the deal. 10/10, no notes.

Desmond Tan
Bad-boy energy? Checked. The oversized coat carries weight, but this Star Awards 2026 Best Actor winner shrugs it off like it’s nothing — nonchalant, considered, cool. And that khaki green? A refreshing switch-up on the red carpet. 9/10

Rebecca Lim
Radiant, very pregnant — and yet you’d almost miss it — Rebecca Lim steps out looking polished and refined in Balenciaga and Bulgari. The long train, gloves and the hair are… a lot. But does she still pull it off? Of course she does. 7/10

Tasha Low
“I want to be on board — I really do — but it’s veering a little into costume territory. Tasha Low nailed the boldness of the dress, no question, but the Chaumet crown and hair feel like they’re competing for attention. Dial it back slightly and it becomes a real moment. That said, she carries it with ease and still looks undeniably beautiful. 6/10

Carrie Wong
Pretty in pink, Carrie Wong is serving sweet innocence — but make it fashion. The pastel Gucci gown and Tiffany & Co. jewellery is a refreshing switch-up, and while the full sleeves and high neck could’ve gone full cupcake, clever styling keeps it firmly in grown-up territory. 7/10

Cheryl Chou
First-time Star Awards host, but you wouldn’t know it — Cheryl Chou shows up in a glittering, slinky number and immediately raises the bar. The plunge is bold but controlled, the styling is clean, and that Chaumet diamond necklace does just enough. Others tried. She delivered. 9/10

Zhang Ze Tong
A slightly oversized Dries Van Noten suit, styled to perfection. Oversized cuffs, a fresh tulip brooch (yes, really), and a satin pleated khaki cummerbund that adds just the right amount of fun. It’s bold, playful, and completely aligned with Zhang Ze Tong’s bubbly, extroverted personality. 8/10

Ya Hui
Love that Ya Hui went for a pantsuit moment— the bustier’s curved detailing adds just the right touch of femininity along with the Tiffany & Co. jewellery. The fit? Impeccable. The hat? Should’ve stayed home. 6/10

Sheila Sim
My top look of Star Awards 2026 — hands down. Sheila Sim in a bold Chanel drop-waist dress that’s notoriously hard to pull off — and yet, she does it with ease. The model proportions, the androgynous bob, the clash of red and prints — it shouldn’t work, but it absolutely does. Even the smoky eye, balanced with a clean base, hits just right, with the Chanel Comètes ring and Chanel Comètes earrings adding that final sparkle. She ate. 10/10

Jasmine Sim
This is the definition of youthful, done right. Jasmine Sim stuns in a short-sleeved Celine gown with a subtle train — sweet, but elevated. Paired with edgy Clash de Cartier jewellery, the contrast works, while the soft bangs and half-up style keep it girly without trying too hard. A styling masterclass. 9/10

Tyler Ten
Sexiest man on the red carpet? Star Awards 2026 Best Supporting Actor Tyler Ten, of course. A blazer with a plunging neckline (just enough skin), a stunning Bulgari choker, and that deliberately draped long scarf — he knew exactly what he was doing. Rising star, certified heartthrob. 8/10

Chantalle Ng
Villain era? Locked in. Chantalle Ng’s thorn-detailed bustier is a cute little wink, stunning Cartier jewellery and the soft, Old Hollywood hair stops it from going full “trying too hard.” But that skirt — with the gloves — might be doing a bit too much for her frame. Still, a moment. 7/10

Jesseca Liu
Ethereal in white and dressed like a winner — Star Awards 2026 Best Actress Jesseca Liu understood the assignment. The Stéphane Rolland gown with the long train brings the drama, the side-swept waves are perfection, and the Bulgari jewels hit just right against that crisp white. One of my favourites of the night, no question. 9/10
