How to get the most out of the 9.9 Sephora Beauty Pass Sale

Plus, what you should put on your wish list now

The Sephora Beauty Pass Sale is here again! Happening from September 9 to 13, 2020, you’ll be enjoying storewide savings on all the best beauty buys, including the newest cult brands, like Glow Recipe and brand new launches from Estee Lauder, Sulwhasoo and Lancome.

But you might be a little worried about heading to the stores for a sale – after all, the word “sale” often conjures images of mayhem and being crushed by crowds of people. Not to worry though, the Sephora team says that there are social distancing, safety and hygiene measures in place to make your in-store shopping experience a safe and pleasant one.

In addition to following government guidelines like mask-wearing, social distancing, temperature taking and Safe Entry scanning, here are five things you need to know when you head down to the Sephora Beauty Pass Sale:

1. Be patient

There will be a limit to the number of people allowed into the stores each time, so you might have to wait in line for your turn. The number will vary as it depends on the store size and number of staff inside the store as well.

2. Be considerate

While there won’t be a time limit imposed for each shopper who enters the store during the sale, do think of others who are waiting for their turn as well, so don’t dawdle.

3. Ask for help

As all testers, tools and single-use applicators are unavailable till further notice, do approach Sephora staff if you’re looking for a particular item. All Sephora stores have a no-touch policy, which means only staff are allowed to handle the products, ensuring that your health and safety is top priority.

4. Download the Sephora mobile app

If you aren’t comfortable speaking with a beauty advisor and prefer to shop alone, make the Sephora app (available on the App Store or Google Play) your shopping buddy. The Scan to Interact feature allows you to scan the barcode corresponding to products or scan the QR code beside the product name on the counters to bring up product info and reviews.
