Picture this – you've got a stunning dress picked for your big day. The guest list is finally close to being confirmed (if only some would hurry up and RSVP!) and you think you might have sorted out a seating arrangement to keep everyone happy. To top it all off, the venue you've selected for your celebration has a charming wedding planner that you don't just get along with but also seems to know exactly what you want and is actually able to deliver it.

You can now sleep soundly after months of planning. Then you wake up in the middle of a night in a sweat because, wait! You haven't decided what you're going to do with your hair! Your wedding day is not just about your outfit, it's about your whole look. And when it comes to your hair, there are so many styles to choose from, which only adds to your stress. Yes, the wedding planning struggle IS real.

We looked to our favourite Korean celebs for wedding #hairinspo and found some ideas to inspire your look for your big day.

Face-framing tendrils

1/7

It was a big hair trend in the 90s and it's made a comeback recently. Blackpink’s Jennie shows off the look perfectly here, with two loose bits of hair framing her face. One fun thing about this style is you have options for what you want to do at the back. You can let your hair down (literally), do it up in an elegant bun or even try a ponytail.

Hair tip: The best thing about this style is that it works whether you have straight, wavy or curly hair. Soft, wavy tendrils also add an extra romantic touch to your big day.

Playful pigtails

2/7

Pigtails aren't just for little girls in playgrounds. They give you a fun, playful look while being extremely girly too. Pigtails are a good way to tame wild hair and, once they're in place, there's not much maintaining to do, which leaves you with less stress on the day. Red Velvet’s Yeri makes pigtails look chic and emphasises her look with the right make-up and accessories.

Hair tip: Pigtails come in various shapes and sizes. French braids, oversized pigtails, fishtail braids...the choice is yours.

Soft waves

3/7

Get the tousled look just right with soft waves whether you have short or long hair. It's especially the right fit if you're looking for an effortless boho-chic look. Take a leaf out of Song Hye-kyo's (look)book, with sexy waves that accentuate her femininity.

Hair tip: The look you're going for is 'I got out of bed like this' but what you need is some practice with a curling iron.

White dress, red hair

4/7

Who says you have to stick to your original hair colour on your wedding day? Go for a bold look to fit your personality and perhaps even show your friends and family a side of yourself they haven't seen before. Make a big entrance with red hair, like (G)I-DLE MINNIE. A stark contrast with your white dress might just be what you need to complete your memorable wedding look.

Hair tip: Don't make your wedding day the first time you try out the new colour. Speak to your hairdresser about the colour you want and take their advice as to the time you'll need before your big day for your hair colour to look its best.

Low ponytail

5/7

It might seem like the only times you have your hair in a ponytail are when you're having a lazy day or you're extremely busy and want to get your hair out of your way. But ponytails can look elegant too. It's a hairstyle that's easy and quick to achieve and it can look very dainty too. Don't believe us? Just look at how gorgeous Chungha looks in a low ponytail.

Hair tip: Add a ribbon or flowers for an extra feminine touch.

Bangs

6/7

The best thing about this hairstyle is, it doesn't matter what length your hair is. And there are so many options for what the rest of your hair looks like. Leave it down and fill your hair with flowers, put it up for a retro look or accessorise with a ladylike hairband. Let's face it, nobody makes bangs look more stylish than Blackpink’s Lisa so get inspiration from this Kpop superstar.

Hair tip: This hairstyle is probably most suited to brides who already have bangs. If you don't usually have them, don't cut them near your wedding date as you might find out it doesn't suit you.

Go short with a stylish bob

7/7

You don't have to have long flowing locks to complete your wedding look. Just because it's too short to wear up doesn't mean you have to ditch your bob altogether by panic-growing your hair. Add accessories (Alice band, flowers) to decorate your bob, get it tousled for a boho touch or keep your bob neat and simple. Lee Se-young is always on point with her stylish bob and you can perfect that look too.

Hair tip: It's important to get your hair trimmed regularly when you have a bob so plan in advance what length bob you want on your wedding day and check with your hairdresser when you should schedule your cut.
