These Spa Esprit body washes promise to soothe your soul
Add the spa experience into shower time with these essential oil-based body washes

When it comes to your skincare routine, it makes sense to suss out your skin’s needs for that day and use the products that answer those needs.
It makes sense to do the same for your shower routine too. Spa Esprit’s new Plantation Shower Cures ($39 each, from Spa Esprit outlets and Beautyemporium.shop) are a collection of nine essential-oil-based body washes that promise added “soul care”. Each features a specific blend of essential oils.
Pick The Negativity Cleanse, with its blend of vetiver, geranium, lavender and rosemary to balance body and soul.
Breakout From Burnout, with its uplifting bergamot, grapefruit and orange, may help re-energise and soothe frazzled nerves.
Clear your head with Remedy To Clarity’s peppermint, rosemary and lavender oils.
You get the idea.
Now, whether a 10-minute shower can help dissipate the day’s negative vibes is open to debate, but we love the idea of being able to pick a Cure to soothe each day’s ills.
The variants all sound wonderful and full of promise. And to help you decide, Spa Esprit has helpfully put them into three categories: Detox and Purify; Harmony and Tranquility; and Repair Reset. Each group has three Shower Cures each.
What we enjoyed most was taking a few extra seconds, pre-cleansing, to inhale the scent. And you don’t need to use a lot of it either – about three pumps covers the entire body. It washes off easily too, leaving a moisturised after-feel.
While using the Shower Cures didn’t quite give us better sleep or help us worry less, using them made shower time something to look forward to. If anything, that was the mood-changer.
