Made for dry, frizzy hair, this makes every strand feel smooth and nourished after the first use. The real effect, however, can be seen after hair is dry: locks so soft and sleek you can easily run your fingers through them.
Available at Watsons, Guardian and various online retailers.
The ultra-thin nib and fatter base means I can create any look, from thin lines to graphic tips. It’s waterproof and smudge-proof (both proven on my oily eyelids) and washes off with just warm water. The extra boost is appreciated too: It has baikul root extract to protect skin from irritation caused by environmental pollutants. Comes in four shades.
Available at Watsons and from various online retailers.
One half of the brand’s new anti-pollution range (the other’s a cleansing foam), it helps counter the effect of city living on skin. It neutralises acidic pollutants, soothes redness, calms skin, strengthens the skin barrier, and retains moisture.
Available at Watsons.
Made for Asian skin and the climate, the range comprises cushion foundation, mascara, an eyeshadow palette, and lipsticks. My faves: the Here’s Proof Volumising Mascara ($38), which gave me long, plump lashes with its super-thin wand, and the six highly pigmented Colour Nurture Lip Lacquers ($39 each) that stayed on through the day.
Available at Tangs.
This brightening and balancing face oil has a dry-touch formula that cuts the greasy feel on skin. It uses cold-pressed Canadian camelina oil, which is full of omega-3,-6 and -9 fatty acids – the brand says it’s one of the few oils that won’t upset skin. The formula also contains yuzu and vitamin C.

A skincare-makeup hybrid that’s water-based, feels as light as air on skin, and looks as natural as real skin. It also has anti-ageing and anti-pollution benefits – and it’s refillable too. Proceeds from sales go to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, which safeguards Kenyan wildlife.
Available at Tangs at Tang Plaza.
This two-step peel has clinical-grade concentrations of alpha-beta acids, antioxidants, and bromelain, an exfoliating enzyme. The first step dissolves the glue that binds dead skin cells to the surface, so that skin renewal and smoothening can take place. The second step restores skin to good health, so you’ll see more refined pores, less obvious wrinkles, and increased radiance.
Available at Sephora.
