Who are the women setting the standards for what leadership, excellence and impact look like today? From science labs to courtrooms, start-ups to stadiums, Singapore is full of women changing the way we live, work and progress. The Her World Woman of the Year and Young Woman Achiever Awards exist to recognise exactly that.
In 2025, Anastasia Tjendri-Liew, founder of Bengawan Solo, was recognised for turning a home-grown bakery into a cultural institution that generations of Singaporeans have grown up with. A year earlier, Justice Judith Prakash, Singapore’s first female permanent Judge of the Court of Appeal, was honoured for a lifetime spent shaping the nation’s legal landscape and opening doors for women in law. In 2023, Professor Jackie Ying was celebrated for her pioneering work in nanobiotechnology and her role in building Singapore into a global hub for scientific innovation.
Alongside them, the Young Woman Achiever Award has spotlighted women under 40 who are already leaving their mark. Sadhana Rai (2025) was recognised for her leadership in expanding access to justice through pro bono law and migrant-worker advocacy. Shanti Pereira (2024) made history on the track, breaking national records and bringing home Singapore’s first Asian Games gold in athletics in nearly five decades. And Caecilia Chu (2023) helped change how millions of people spend and manage money overseas through her fintech platform, YouTrip.
Together, these women reflect the spirit of the awards: achievement with purpose, leadership with impact, and success that uplifts others.
If you know a woman whose work deserves to be seen and celebrated, now is the time to nominate her!
Anastasia Tjendri-Liew, founder of Bengawan Solo and Her World Woman of the Year 2025, built one of Singapore’s most beloved food brands while giving back through education and community philanthropy.
