New Balance Grey Days (1 May to 31 May)
Neutral lovers and sneakerheads, take note—New Balance’s Grey Days is back for May, and it’s looking better than ever. This month-long celebration is all about spotlighting the brand’s signature shade, with exclusive sneaker drops, elevated apparel, and a whole lineup of styles that prove Grey is anything but boring.
This year’s lineup is solid, with 21 footwear styles and 11 apparel pieces dropping throughout the month. You’ve got everything from cult-favourite silhouettes like the 9060 and 1300JP (only released once every five years!) to the hyped 1906 Loafer that’s basically a penny loafer-sneaker hybrid. Whether you’re into lifestyle classics, running shoes, or sleek minimal pieces, it’s all about Grey done right.
New drops will be rolling out across the month—starting 1 May with styles like the 740, 9060, 1000, T500 and Fresh Foam X 1080v14, followed by the highly-anticipated 1906 Loafers on 14 May, ABZORB 2010 and 471 on 22 May, and the ultra-rare 1300JP on 29 May. You’ll find them at selected New Balance stores, online, and at select retailers—so if you’re eyeing a refresh for your sneaker rotation, you might want to swing by before the good stuff sells out.
Kantin @ Jewel Changi
Out in the East and craving something different? Head to Kantin at Jewel Changi, Singapore’s one and only Bornean restaurant. They call it “jungle food”—inspired by the traditional diet of Borneo’s indigenous headhunter tribes—and the menu is packed with authentic dishes, creative spins, and even exotic cocktails to match. But what really caught our eye? Their wild dessert that looks exactly like a dish sponge and comes with a side of “dirty sink water.” It’s a prank, of course—but one that tastes surprisingly good. Whether you’re going for the food or the photo opp, Kantin’s definitely worth the detour.
The Phantom of the Opera (9 May to 22 June)
Mark your calendars—The Phantom of the Opera is making its grand return to Singapore in May 2025, with a stop at the Sands Theatre as part of its international tour across Asia. Based on Gaston Leroux’s classic novel, the story follows a mysterious, disfigured musical genius who haunts the Paris Opera House and secretly mentors a rising soprano, Christine. But when she falls for someone else, things spiral into a full-blown emotional (and operatic) meltdown. Expect drama, obsession, soaring vocals, and a whole lot of gothic energy.
The Phantom of the Opera is located at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands
Mirror Mirror: Journey Into the Mind (8 March to 6 July)
Ready to take a deep dive into your own mind? Mirror Mirror: Journey Into the Mind at ArtScience Museum is not your typical exhibition—it’s part science, part art, and fully immersive. Think trippy lights, interactive tech, dreamy soundscapes, and eight unique rooms that explore everything from memory and dreams to self-perception and consciousness. It all kicks off when you choose one of three doors to begin your journey (yes, it’s giving multiverse energy), and no two paths are quite the same.
And if you want to make sure you don’t miss a single room, there’s even a web app to help you track your progress. Just a heads up—there are lighting and haze effects throughout, so if you’re sensitive to that, plan accordingly.
Mirror Mirror: Journey Into the Mind is located at ArtScience Museum

For three months only, the neo-Italian chef is teaming up with the buzzy venue for a collaboration menu that’s available at both lunch and dinner. Expect eight exclusive dishes that reflect Daniele’s signature style: deeply Italian, but playful, and this time, spiked with nods to local flavours.
From a refreshing chilled somen in watermelon rind broth and vegan fish sauce to a cheeky cheese waffle with artichoke aioli and bresaola, the new menu is a flavour-packed way to experience the dishes Chef Daniele is known for.
