Hamilton: The Musical makes its highly anticipated debut in Singapore this week. The award-winning musical will be taking over the Sands Theatre from 19 April to 9 June. This marks its third stop on the international tour, following its sold-out debut in Manila in September and a season in Abu Dhabi in January.
Since it first premiered on Broadway in 2015, Hamilton has garnered widespread acclaim for its innovative storytelling and genre-defying score, that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway. With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, Hamilton is based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography.
