BTS member, Jin, has made a striking return to the spotlight with the release of his latest solo single, Don’t Say You Love Me – and this time, he’s brought Singapore along for the ride.

Dropped on 16 May, the evocative music video for the English-language track paints the city in a new cinematic light, weaving together sweeping skyline shots, historic icons, and hidden gems. The three minute 25 second clip, which also features South Korean actress Shin Se-kyung as Jin’s on-screen partner, sees the pair portray a couple navigating the quiet tension of a relationship on the brink of goodbye.

The project was produced in collaboration with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and BigHit Music, with STB confirming that the music video showcases eight locations across the island. Among them are some of the city’s most recognisable landmarks, including the National Gallery Singapore, the Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay, and the Singapore Flyer. Lesser-known locales such as Emerald Hill, Keng Eng Kee Seafood in Bukit Merah, and the rooftop car park at Goldhill Plaza also feature prominently.

Jin’s scenes at the National Gallery, where he walks beneath the Padang Atrium’s grand skylight, are among the video’s most visually arresting. Elsewhere, he is seen gazing out at the skyline from a Marina Bay apartment and taking in the view from a Singapore Flyer cabin. His love interest, Shin, is also spotted strolling along the charming shophouses of Emerald Hill, and having a meal at the Michelin-listed zi char spot in a few scenes of the MV.

The release comes on the heels of a teaser campaign that included an interactive game allowing fans to “call” Jin and receive photo previews, several of which hinted at a Singapore setting. Once the video dropped, speculation gave way to celebration among Singaporean ARMYs, who were quick to identify familiar locations throughout the clip.

The music video forms part of Jin’s second solo EP, Echo, and signals his official return following a period of military service. It also comes ahead of his highly anticipated #RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR, his first solo world tour. As of writing, the video has already garnered close to 5.3 million views on HYBE LABELS’ YouTube channel and STB’s digital platforms.
