MediaCorp actress Yvonne Lim shared her sentiments on Christmas morning about how important tradition is to her and how she likes to take the time to reflect before 2019 comes to a close.
She posted this photo on Instagram with her family and of course, Santa Claus, coupling it with a caption that read: “To me Christmas means family getting together, an opportunity for us to pause and reflect on the important things around us as we moved on to another new year.”
The actress, who’s based in Taiwan since she tied the knot with former Taiwanese boy band member Alex Tien, later shared that she cooked a hearty Christmas dinner for her family (if you're looking to prepare a feast at home too, read more about how you can do so here). The scrumptious meal included roasted pork, prawns, fish and chicken. Sounds good.

Wondering what the Queen of Caldecott Hill was up to this Christmas? Well, after returning from her family trip in Hokkaido, Japan, she headed for a staycation at Shangri-La Hotel, where she spent Christmas with her children.
She shared on her Instagram story that she brought her kids to a baking class, where they learnt how to bake the most festive dessert of all: log cakes (here are 10 creative log cake flavours to try!). Her son Ashton customised his chocolate log cake with lots of sprinkles, a snowman and of course, a Christmas tree. After all, what’s Christmas without a tree?

With her birthday falling on the same day as Christmas, the singer of the hit song “Mmm Bye” always has a reason to throw a huge celebration on the 25th. But this year, Rriley decided to spend this special day cozied up at home with her boyfriend, Ryan, and her two pets.
In a post on Instagram, she shared a throwback picture of how she spent her birthday last year and compared it to this year’s similar festivities. She coupled the picture with a caption thanking her friends and family for their well wishes and later jokingly added in an Instagram story about her frustrations that her birthday and Christmas gifts are always merged into one present. It’s all in good fun, of course.

Christmas is all about dressing up to match the festive mood. Some may go for subtle candy cane earrings and others might go all out with iconic ugly Christmas sweaters. As for the multi-talented Fann Wong (here are reasons why she's still capturing our hearts), she went for a classic Santa hat that could never go wrong. Her 5-year-old son, Zed, was in on the festivities too, as he donned a headband with two adorable polar bears popping out.
And unlike others who would usually have turkey and mashed potatoes for Christmas dinner, the actress, who’s married to Christopher Lee, went for crispy fried chicken. Who could say no to that?

Christmas is a time for most people to share their thoughts about what this day means to them and local celeb Jade Seah, who is back in school, was no different. She posted a heartfelt photo of her and her grand aunt, and shared that to her, Christmas is all about family.
Her caption read: “Here with my Grand-Aunt who cooked up a Christmas feast for us earlier today. (You can peek at just one of the dishes on my stories).” Indeed, her grand aunt had cooked up quite storm with the dish of the night being her Devil’s Curry. Sounds absolutely delicious, if you ask us.

The “Little Nyonya” star already has so many achievements under her belt but for her, it wasn’t enough. This Christmas, she shared that she had finally graduated from cooking school after 9 months of working hard for her diploma in Tokyo.
She took to Instagram to share her joy with her followers: It was a big decision to drop everything and just go study. So it’s said it takes courage to pursue dreams and I guess that’s true. I’ve never been more excited with getting any cert. My 9 months patisserie journey has been fulfilling and today’s graduation is such a great way to end 2019!”
Congratulations, Jeanette!
