Before the advent of Instagram, it would be weird for us to be creeping on our favourite celeb couples. Thanks to social media, we can get up to date with the love lives of our favourite celebrities. Scroll through the gallery and check out these mushy snapshots of the sweetest celebrity lovebirds.
It seems like the two just can’t get enough of each other. After confirming their relationship in 2016, the couple that was initially tight-lipped about their relationship has no qualms displaying their affection for each other. The celebrity couple is constantly updating their social media with wefies accompanied with lovey dovey captions.
In a recent interview with 8 Days, Feli, who walked away empty-handed at the 2021 Star Awards said, “There was a commercial break after the Top 10 results were announced, so he (Jeffrey) came over to ask me how I was and all. He did say some very sweet and positive things, which I would like to keep inside my heart, but I think his actions — giving me the sandwich and driving me to eat food — spoke louder than words. Oh, and he also just bought me a bouquet of flowers!” Felicia may not have won the “Top 10 Female Artistes” award, but that certainly did not stop her from taking home the award for cutest couple.

After years of marriage, this gorgeous couple is still going strong, and aren’t shy to show their love for each other on Instagram. They are parents to an adorable Zed Zed, as he is affectionately addressed by the couple. Last year, they celebrated their 11-year anniversary.
The origins of Hong Ling and Nick Teo’s love story can be traced back to 2014, after filming wrapped on the long form drama “118”. In an interview with Asiaone, the local actor sheepishly admitted that he was the one who made the first move and asked Hong Ling out for a movie because he “missed her”. Seven years later, the couple is still going strong.
“Celebrating another year together with @nickk_teo .❤️ We still feel and behave like when we first found each other. He’s always my best friend, and the love of my life,” Hong Ling shared via Instagram. Here’s hoping for their happily ever after.
Local actors Joanne Peh and Qi Yuwu have been married for nearly 7 years, and time has only made their relationship stronger. At this year’s Asian Television Awards, Joanne Peh bagged the Best Leading Female Performance – Digital award.
Amidst the many congratulatory comments and posts that flooded social media, was this very special (and incredibly sweet) one shared by Qi Yuwu. “So proud of you for winning the Best Actress Award! @joannepeh! Happy for you! Challenging yourself with a role like this. I can only imagine how hard it must have been. I admire you for stepping out of your comfort zone. You’ve set a new precedence for Singapore television. At work, you’re always seeking to innovate and do better. For a Taurus that likes stability, it isn’t easy for you. I admire your spirit. You’ve finally received the recognition you deserve and on a regional level. So bloody proud of you!” he wrote. Aww!
This odd coupling is the definition of relationship goals. They held a low-key yet very romantic beach wedding in Jesseca’s hometown in Langkawi. It is widely believed that the two fell in love after acting together in the web series, “Who Killed The Lead” in 2014.
In August last year, the couple celebrated their third wedding anniversary. In an interview with Today, Jeremy gushed that married life has been “very good”. He added that he and Jesseca have not had a single fight since walking down the aisle.

This is a couple that have gone through plenty of thick and thin together. The pair made headlines in 2002 when De Cruz suffered liver failure after taking slimming pills from Slim 10. Her then fiancé, donated a part of his liver to her. The two tied the knot in 2003 and are still head over heels in love. In an Instagram post, the actor described the former actress to be his “rock and strength”.
When asked about his secret to a long and successful marriage, Pierre revealed that, “You have to both want it to be a long and successful marriage, and even learn from other people’s mistakes. I think you have to accept that you’re both individuals who are constantly growing and changing, who have different reactions and emotions. You’ve got to work as a pair with that.” He added, “A friend told me it’s like swimming in a pair — you constantly have to constantly turn to see where your partner is. If you don’t, you could lose track of where they are entirely. I’ll also say, the grass is green where you water it, not that it’s greener on the other side.”
We have Pierre Png and Andrea De Cruz to thank for keeping our faith in love alive.

Like a scene from a Hollywood movie, the duo found out they had feelings for each other when Randall was struck by a nerve disorder Guillain-Barre syndrome and hospitalised in the intensive care unit. Randall has since fully recovered. The two met on the set of The Donny Lee Show in 1996. Melody and Randall successfully conceived twins after two miscarriages. In an Instagram post, Melody posted this sweet wefie along with this heart-melting caption, “Just wanted to say that I’m glad we still have each other when things get rough and the tides go against us. You and me. @randalltan Always.”
ICYDK, Jean and Glenn go way back — 26 years to be exact — when they were both jocks on 987FM. The pair only started dating 14 years later in 2009. After being engaged for five years, the local deejays finally exchanged their wedding vows in December 2016. They were married in a dreamy seaside solemnization ceremony at Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa.

Sparks flew for local actress Yvonne and former B.A.D member Alex Tien when the latter was on a tour to Singapore with his band. Fast forward six months later, in March 2014, Alex popped the question during Yvonne’s cover shoot for Nuyou. Last year, the duo celebrated their six-year wedding anniversary. “he (Alex) makes it a point to buy flowers every year,” Yvonne told 8 Days in 2020.
The two first met on set of the 2002 drama, Springs of Life. The duo became inseparable and stayed friends for six years before Tern finally confessed his feelings over email. While it was not the most romantic confession, the pair eventually got married in 2007 and it seems like these lovebirds are still going strong.
Priscelia even has a hashtag, #ATmyhubbybuddybaby, that she uses when posting pictures of her beau. Their marriage has withstood the test of Priscelia’s two-year health scare which turned her skin red and raw. “My source of strength was really my husband and my family,” she told CNA Lifestyle in 2020.
You might remember James Lye as the hunky inspector from the Chanel 5 series, Triple Nine. Today, the suave actor is a bank executive and he is married to celebrity TV host, Diana Ser. They are proud parents to three children. More than a decade into their marriage, the pair is still as sweet as ever.
James recently made his “comeback” after two decades of leaving showbiz when he filmed a shout-out for Diana’s COVID-19 crowdfund project. A couple that does good together, stays together.

Even after over two decades of marriage, the romance between the hilarious pair is still very much alive. They have two grown-up children. Hong Hui Fang posted a #wefie with the caption, “Times flies…we are attending our girl’s graduation”.
Her tip for maintaining a strong marriage? Take time apart after an argument to let things cool down. The 61-year-old veteran actress told AsiaOne, “When you’re arguing, nothing you say makes it through to the other party.”

This celebrity couple should be no stranger to you. The two first met on the set of a Singapore Broadcasting Corporation drama, Patrol. They exchanged their marriage vows just three months after they met. In an interview with Toggle, Xiang Yun revealed that she was won over by the Edmund when he draped a large towel around her when they were filming a scene in the rain. On one of the Father’s Day posts, Xiang Yun posted a #wefie of her and her spouse with the caption, “Hubby, Happy Father’s Day! Thanks for all your contributions to the family…”
They are parents to two grown children, 30-year-old Yixi, who is also a Mediacorp artiste and 21-year-old daughter Yixin who has been involved in a number of projects including the teen drama “Teenage Textbook — The Series.”

The duo first met in 2005 when they competed in reality singing competition, Project Superstar. They eventually said their “I dos” in 2009. The former Project Superstar contestants are parents to a little girl, Azalea.
In January this year, the couple celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary. Candyce took to Instagram to share this sweet snap. “Let’s continue to nag and irritate one another for years to come. Love you so much. Thank you for everything you have done for the family, and for me. Happy Anniversary my Love,” she wrote.
The FLY Entertainment actor and Taiwanese-American TV personality have proven that two people can grow together in a marriage. The couple have a son, Egan. In an Instagram post, to wish his bubbly wife a happy birthday, George posted a photo of him and his wife with an aww-inspiring caption that says, “happy birthday to the one person who continuously broadens my horizons – see you soon for birthday presents and most likely crawfish x”. If that isn’t sweet, we don’t know what is.

Newlyweds Rainie Yang and her husband, Li Ronghao, have been married since September 2019 and it seems like even though the couple have been dating for a while now (since 2015), they are still very much in love.
In January this year, after nearly a year apart, Rainie finally reunited with Ronghao. The couple had been away from each other due to their busy work schedules and COVID-19 travel restrictions. This is the longest time the pair, who dated for almost five years before tying the knot in September 2019, had not seen each other. The Taiwanese singer took to Weibo to share her joy. “End of quarantine. We meet again,” she wrote.

If diabetes could spread by sight, you’d have to avoid Jay Chou and Hannah Quinlivan. They are the culprits behind several saccharine Instagram posts that are so sweet they are giving us a headache. Just take a look at the evidence.
When sharing a celebratory post for his son’s birthday, Jay found a way to praise his wife in the caption: “Happy birthday to my cool son Jaylen Romeo, I hope that you will grow up and diligently master the piano. This way, like daddy, you will also be able to marry a beautiful wife haha”. Cue ‘awws’.
When sharing a photo of themselves with Stephen Curry, Jay wrote: “Happy wife Happy life 至理名言”. Hannah is a big fan of the pro basketballer Stephen.
When Hannah was filming in Malaysia, Jay apparently showed up on set with some bubble tea. That might sound like nothing to shout about, except Hannah had earlier that day left a comment on Jay’s Instagram asking for a cup of bubble tea.
Someone, please complain to the Health Promotion Board. This couple’s relationship is sweeter than a cup of Gong Cha milk tea at 100 per cent sugar level. Jay and Hannah have two children together — six-year-old Hathaway and four-year-old Romeo.
It is not often that one’s wedding anniversary falls on the same day as Mother’s Day.
And Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi, who was busy taking care of her son who was born on New Year’s Day in 2020, felt very happy celebrating both occasions.
Zhang, 42, posted on Weibo a photo of herself with her husband, rocker Wang Feng, 49, as she thanked him and their children for the love and affection.
They married in May 2015 and also have a five-year-old daughter.
Wang has two other daughters – Manxi, 15, from his previous relationship with model Ge Huijie; and Jingyi, eight, from his previous marriage to Ms Kang Zuoru, who is not from the entertainment industry.
Wang also shared Zhang’s photo on Weibo and said, “Love is an emotion which one alone knows whether it is warm or cold. The outside world sees only the surface and will never know the real joy and sorrow of two people.”
He said the ups and downs they have gone through in the last five years have made them more grateful and cherish the relationship further.
He thanked her for her warmth and tolerance, for giving the family two more cute children and hoped they could grow old together.
Zhang, who shot to international fame with the movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000), said in an interview last year (2019) that her parents had previously objected to her marrying Wang, who is a divorcee. The singer has since won over his parents-in-law.
The duo might be celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary this year, but they are still madly in love. In fact, the actress revealed in a recent interview that she and her husband have to talk on the phone every day even though they live together! How cute is that?
The heartthrobs tied the knot in a lavish wedding ceremony in 2015 after a six-year courtship. The celebrity power couple have a three-year-old son.
There have been repeated rumours that the couple’s marriage has been on the rocks, but the couple have reportedly refuted them.

K-pop star Rain got married to K-drama star Kim Tae Hee in 2017. They welcomed their first child, a daughter, in October the same year. Last September, Tae Hee gave birth to the couple’s second child.
At that time, Rain said: “I am ready to be a good husband and a man as the head of a household. She stood by me through thick and thin,” the message read. “She’s the greatest gift of all.”
Rain, 35, and Kim, 37, first met while shooting a television commercial in 2011 and began dating a year later.
He has starred in South Korean dramas, including Full House (2004) and The Fujitive Fugitive: Plan B (2010), as well as Hollywood action pictures such as Speed Racer (2008) and Ninja Assassin (2009).
The love bug hit these two when they performed on stage together. Dawn was just a trainee then. They started dating in May 2016. Despite Cube Entertainment’s denial, the power couple went public about their romance. The duo eventually terminated their contracts with Cube Entertainment. In 2019, K-pop diva Hyuna and her boyfriend singer Dawn joined Psy’s agency P Nation.
Another celeb couple who proves that absence does make the heart grow fonder. In January 2020, Taiwanese actor and member of boy band Fahrenheit Calvin Chen and actress Joanne Tseng announced that they had tied the knot. Shortly after exchanging their wedding vows, the couple had to embark on a long-distance relationship when Calvin took up an acting gig in China.
In spite of their busy schedules and being 2,000 kilometres apart, the couple managed to build a solid foundation. In November last year, Joanne threw a virtual birthday party for her SO. “Happy birthday! I haven’t seen you in a while. We’ve never been apart for so long. It’s important to work hard but it’s more important to take care of yourself,” she wrote via Instagram.
A couple that has fun together stays together. “You are the apple of me eye” star, Michelle Chen, posted this playful photo of her and her husband enjoying a round of pie face. The two Chens first met while working on the TV remake of Romance of the Condor Heroes in 2013. The couple got married 2016 and soon after, welcomed a baby boy into their lives.

They are Asia’s Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. Just like the Hollywood couple, Christine and Blackie’s show of affection ranges from hilarious to heartwarming.
Blackie has a penchant for pranks and his wife is often his victim.
Case in point: When they are out jogging, he tricks her into thinking there’s a cockroach. When getting Christine to pose for a photo, he is actually filming her. He smacks her butt when she plays hide and seek with their sons.
Just like how schoolboys tease girls they like at the playgroup, Blackie’s practical jokes are an expression of love for his wife. But Blackie is also a sweetheart.
When Christine who’s a singer-songwriter, held a Shanghai concert on Valentine’s Day this year, Blackie turned up unannounced at the show with their twin sons, River and Ryan.
Onstage, Blackie said: “We’ve been together for 18 years. It’s considered a feat in show business. A lot of things have happened over the past 18 years… a lot of sweet things.”
Christine is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in a fashion-related field and her hubby Blackie is supportive as always. “I encourage her to further her studies if she has the opportunity,” Blackie said in an interview with the Taiwanese media. They are hands down #relationshipgoals.
Big Bang’s Taeyang has shared a teaser for his upcoming documentary White Night, in which the South Korean pop star opens up about his 2017 solo album of the same name, the world tour that followed, as well as his marriage to actress Min Hyo-rin.
Set to premiere on his 32nd birthday on his YouTube channel, the documentary follows the singer in the 251 days leading up to his mandatory military enlistment.
In the teaser that was released, he talks about his personal struggles on and off the stage.
He also lets on why he decided to marry South Korean actress Min, 35.
In a heartfelt declaration, he says: “Even now, she’s the only person who continues to change me as a person. And those changes always make me into a better, more solid person. That’s why I decided to walk along with her for the rest of my life.”
The couple tied the knot in February 2018, almost three years after confirming they were dating in May 2015.
He began his enlistment not long after on March 12, 2018, and was discharged on Nov 10, 2019, along with fellow Big Bang member Daesung.
Last year, the pair bought a swanky new home in the affluent Hannam-dong district. The couple reportedly bought one of the upper floors in the building, which overlooks the Han River. How romantic!
When K-pop sex siren Hyori got hitched in 2013, fans were outraged. They were appalled at their idol’s shocking choice of spouse, calling the union “Beauty & The Beast”.
Why? Because her oppa’s looks weren’t up to K-pop star standards.
But the loving couple has the last laugh. Six years on, they are still going strong, proving detractors wrong.
The popular Netflix reality show, Hyori’s Bed & Breakfast, gave us a glimpse into the low-key couple’s daily life. Singer-songwriter Sang Soon and Hyori had turned their private Jeju home into a cozy bed and breakfast, opening it up to guests visiting the area.
Hyori and her guitarist husband are joining the producer line-up for broadcasting network JTBC’s new audition programme “Super Band 2”.
Japanese singer-actor Takuya Kimura has, reportedly for the first time, shared a photo of him and his wife, Japanese singer Shizuka Kudo.
In April 2020, the then-47-year-old star took to his official account on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging site, to post the picture with the message: “Happy birthday!!”
In the picture, taken in their younger days, Kimura is embracing his wife from behind and reaches up to squeeze her cheeks. Kudo is pouting at the camera.
The A-list Japanese couple have been notoriously tight-lipped and private about their relationship since their marriage in 2000.
Their nuptials received widespread coverage as both were popular stars. Yet, it was seen as controversial back then as Kimura was at the peak of his popularity with dramas such as Long Vacation (1996) and Beautiful Life (2000).
He was then also part of the now-disbanded idol boy band SMAP.
The couple have two children Cocomi, 19 and Koki, 18. Cocomi debuted as the cover girl of Vogue Japan while Koki did so on the cover of Elle Japan in 2018.
Celebrity couple Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas commemorated the second anniversary of their first date on May 25.
The Bollywood star and her musician husband took to Instagram to remember the special day, with throwback pictures from their first date at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California.
Chopra, 38, posted a selfie of the two of them posing with blue baseball caps.
She captioned the post: “2 years ago today we took our very first picture together. Every day since then you have brought me endless joy and happiness. I love you @nickjonas Thank you for making our life together so incredible. Here’s to many more date nights…”
The similarly nostalgic selfie that Jonas, 28, posted showed the pair in cowboy hats.
The caption read: “This beautiful woman and I went on our first date two years ago today. It has been the best two years of my life, and to think I am lucky enough to get to spend the rest of my life with her is such an incredible blessing. I love you babe. Happy two years”
The pair tied the knot in December 2018 at the picturesque Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jaipur, India.
The two have not been able to stop gushing about each other lately. “I started this last week by taking a brutal tumble on a bike fracturing my rib and ended it hosting the @bbmas (Billboard Music Awards) with my incredible wife by my side who helped me every step of the way to recover and feel my best. I love you @priyankachopra.”
It’s not always about sweet nothings. A study by Jeffrey Hall from the University of Kansas has shown that couples who troll each other — i.e. they can have a laugh together — stay happy together. It makes perfect sense. A shared sense of humour signals an understanding of each other, which translates into a stronger relationship. Oh, it also shows you know how to have fun.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are living proof of this. They take pride in roasting each other whenever possible — on a talk show, in an interview or on social media.
Who could forget Ryan’s speech at the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2016? He gushed over his wife Blake, saying: ”You make absolutely everything in my life better… You made me the father of my dreams when I thought I only had ‘fun uncle’ potential.”
Of course, Ryan had a kicker in mind: “You are the best thing — the best thing — that has ever happened to me, second only to this star. It’s the Hollywood Walk of Fame, cut me some slack here.”
To mark Mother’s Day, Ryan posted another on-brand Instagram dedication to his wife. “The tender grit it takes to be a mother in 2021 is an act of pure strength and heroism. Never could I have predicted anonymous airport bathroom sex would lead to this. Or how you’d hire Dog The Bounty Hunter to find me. Either way, I’m lucky to reflect a little of the sunlight you shine on all of us. Happy Mother’s Day, my love.”
Blake isn’t too bad herself.
In an “accusatory” IG post of Ryan and co-star Helen Mirren, Blake captioned: “Should I be concerned that my husband’s never looked at me this way?… #WhereAreThoseEyesWanderingReynolds #HelenMirrenIStheSexiestWomanAlive #WomanInGold”
We wouldn’t be too worried. Did you see the way he looks at you, Blake?
How did Barack Obama know that he had found “The One”? We can glean the answer from Obama’s advice to his aide, Dan Pfeiffer, as recorded in Pfeiffer’s book Yes We (Still) Can.
The former POTUS said you should ask yourself three questions about your potential partner. According to Pfeiffer, Obama said: “Is she someone you find interesting? You will spend more time with this person than anyone else for the rest of your life, and there is nothing more important than always wanting to hear what she has to say about things.”
The other two questions are “Does she make you laugh?” and “Do you think she will be a good mum?”
We’re pretty sure Michelle checked all the boxes.
Just look at that presidential PDA splashed all over the internet — Barack introducing Michelle as the love of his life on his campaign trail, the way he looked at her during their first dance at the inauguration ball. We could go on.
Now that Obama’s presidency stint is over, he could consider writing a relationship column. After all, the golden couple of politics are #relationshipgoals.
Remember how George Clooney famously declared that he’d be single forever? He was quoted in Esquire as saying: “I haven’t had aspirations in that way, ever. I was married in 1989. I wasn’t very good at it. I was quoted as saying I’ll never get married again pretty much right after I got divorced and then I’ve never talked about it since.”
That was before George met Amal.
He met the human rights lawyer through a mutual friend in 2013. They married the following year, and welcomed twins Ella and Alexander in 2017.
On David Letterman’s talk show, George put his deep love for Amal into words. “Before I had the twins, I felt that about her. I felt that I met someone who I would absolutely trade my life for. I met someone that her life meant more to me than my life and I’ve never had that experience before.”
If the eternal bachelor can find his happily ever after, there’s hope for all of us. It’s about finding a good fit.
