Actor, dedicated fitness enthusiast, and an advocate for well-being; Thai actor “Force” Jiratchapong Srisang might be new to the entertainment industry, but he’s quickly making a name for himself.
The rising star was in town last week for an exclusive sound bath experience hosted by lululemon, as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations at the Glow Festival at Marina Bay Sands.
In his interview with Her World, Force shares insights into his preparation for different roles, his fitness routine, and how he maintains his well-being amidst a busy acting career. From his favourite roles to his go-to lululemon products, Force opens up about the practices that keep him grounded and thriving both on and off the screen.
How do you prepare for your different characters, and what was your favourite role so far?
I am a new actor, so I don’t have much experience, with only three to four roles under my belt. My favourite role would be my character in A Boss and A Babe, as I find my acting there to be relaxed, though I do love all my roles so far.
As a fitness lover, can you share your regular workout routine and how it contributes to your well-being?
My regular workout routine for good well-being begins with waking up early and eating a healthy breakfast. Afterwards, I would hit the gym to lift some weights and run for some cardio, for about an hour. It is important to know your limits, thus I advocate for starting small and slowly progressing when working towards a healthier lifestyle.
As an actor, your schedule can be unstructured, where you need to be up at odd hours at times. In this case, how do you maintain your fitness routine?
Yes, I do have a busy schedule. For example, after I finish work, I would typically head home for a short rest and head to the gym. However, I have realised that by doing so, I had been overworking my body. Hence, my keys to balancing well-being are good sleep and eating well.
For me, I recommend getting a good rest before a full workout, considering I would be exhausted after work. Hitting the gym would be something I do when I have free time, as I can fully focus on exercising then.
Conversely, fitness does not have to be confined to the gym, especially when you have no time to commute. Frankly, I often work out at home as well – squats, jumps, and other exercises to fulfil my fitness goals.
In the same vein, beyond fitness and exercising, do you engage in other mindfulness practices like meditation or yoga? How do they contribute to your overall wellbeing?
I have never tried yoga, so I am looking forward to today’s sound bath session, which will be my first one ever. My trainer previously introduced me to yoga techniques, but I found them challenging as they are quite different from the pre-workout stretching that I am more familiar with. Hence, I am excited about the sound bath session later!
Exciting! In the same line of thought then, do you have any favourite lululemon products?
My all-time favourite lululemon products are the License to Train Short-Sleeve Shirt and Shorts I’m wearing now. They are in my favourite colour, grey, which feels and looks good on me. The material is incredibly comfortable, and the clothing feels seamless when I’m on the go while being effortlessly stylish. lululemon is currently having a promotion from the 6th to the 21st of July, where you can get a limited edition water bottle when you spend a minimum of $100 in-store and present your Glow Festival ticket at lululemon ION Orchard or Marina Bay Sands. While stocks last, so grab it while you can!
lululemon is celebrating its 10th anniversary in Singapore at the Glow Festival. What are you most looking forward to at this event?
I’m excited to move, grow and connect with the lululemon community in Singapore today. I can’t wait to join the sound bath experience and find time for my well-being, alongside other holistic well-being experiences today. I would love to see everyone in the lululemon community coming together and joining me in this event.
And lastly, anything to say to your Singaporean fans?
To my fans in Singapore, I wish to see everyone joining the lululemon community at Glow Festival Singapore. There is so much to experience here, so come celebrate lululemon Singapore’s 10th anniversary with me!
