Let’s face it. Even those with the healthiest libidos (fans of midday quickies and shower sex, we’re looking at you) are bound to hit a sex slump at some point. Blame it on stress or the mundaneness of everyday life, especially if you’re cooped up in the house with the same people and the same routine.

However, a sure way to get the blood rushing and juices flowing would be to book a staycation. After all, there’s nothing like a change in environment — fresh sheets, romantic scents, aromatic bath soaks and breakfast in bed — to supercharge your desire. But if you’re looking for more affordable and sustainable alternatives, there are still other ways to keep the good sex going. From having it in the morning or playing with new toys, here we’re diving in on some of the tips that you need to know to get the good vibes going in the bedroom.

Get physical

It’s no secret that exercise drives up your endorphins, the hormones that make you feel relaxed and happier. Choose workouts of moderate to high intensity, such as running, interval training and yoga flow, that elevate your heart rate and get you pumped up. Just be sure to avoid over-exerting – you’ll need some energy for lovemaking later.

Have a balanced diet

Having a nutritious and balanced diet is crucial when it comes to maintaining a good sex drive. Certain foods, like those rich in zinc, can be particularly beneficial for sexual health.

Having sex in the same place makes it too familiar after a while, dampening the level of excitement. Schedule it in the AM

Being overweight or underweight can affect hormone levels and libido. Aim for a healthy weight through a balanced diet and regular exercise.

Try new positions
