“Our celebration was filled with personal touches from both of us, like Super Mario-inspired and Disneyesque costumes for my bridesmaids to wear at the gatecrashing.

Also, as we both live in Perth, Australia, where I studied for four years, we went for little rustic touches as seen in our ring holder and wicker baskets.

There were plenty of magical moments! Our favourites: The same-day video, our walk under the arch of light sabres, and our first dance – a fusion of the rumba and salsa, thanks to lessons.

When Sam finally made it to my room after the gatecrashing, I felt so at ease. Right there and then, I knew I’d always have him by my side on this life journey.”
