Weddings can be costly affairs and buying a home and renovating it is a whole other nightmare in itself. Your honeymoon however, can be more easily adjusted to fit your budget. With air tickets being one of the larger aspects of your honeymoon budget, finding cost-effective flights are one of your best bets at keeping to your budget.

If you’re one of those who scour the Internet for a few days – or even weeks – to get the best price for your air tickets, you’re not alone. But that could also be your downfall.

You might notice that the plane ticket prices for the same flight increase after a week or so, but time might not be the only factor for the rise in price.

Most websites use cookies, a data tag which stores user behaviour as they browse the site. Cookies allow companies to target advertisements based on recent searches, purchases and preferences and websites to track your tastes and highlight their products accordingly.

Some say airline and hotel booking sites use cookies to store your search history for routes and destinations and then increase the listed prices of airfares and accommodation on subsequent searches, thereby prompting you to make a purchase before the price goes up again.

Some travel hackers suggest booking flights and hotels from a friend’s or an office computer which does not have your account history. Or you can clear your cookies and search history before making an online purchase.

Here’s how you can clear and change your cookies and search history on the different browsers!
