Eat these 12 foods to look radiant for your wedding

You are what you eat, and these foods are said to help you achieve radiant skin for your celebrations. They don't work instant miracles, so you should start eating at least few months before your big day!

1. Blueberries
These are packed with anti-oxidant properties that help prevent skin aging, as well as flavanoids that protect your skin against free radicals.

2. Almonds
Vitamin E, which these nuts are filled with, are said to help neutralise free radicals and prevent molecules that contribute to dull skin. It's also packed with fatty acids that will give your skin a healthy glow.

3. Peanut butter 
The sandwich filler contains vitamins B3 and E, which repairs and protects skin from environmental pollution and UV damage.

4. Beetroot
The vegetable possess a rich source of anthocyanins (powerful antioxidants) that'll help give your skin a healthy glow, and prevent wrinkles.

5. Pineapples and papayas 
These tropical fruits contain sorbic acid and glycolic acids, both of which help push out dead skin and promote skin growth from in the skin’s deeper layers of the skin. They are handy in keeping and thus keep fine lines and dull-looking skin at bay.

6. Whole grains and cereals 
These contain vitamin B that builds collagen, resulting in healthier, plumper looking skin.

7. Green tea
Green tea is a great edible sunscreen. A single cup of green tea a day is said to be able to protect your skin for 20 hours.

8. Chickpeas
These help diminish scars and dark spots, as the protein from chickpeas produce amino acids that contribute to tissue repair.

9. Dark leafy greens
Vegetables like spinach contain heaps of antioxidants, bioflavins, carotenoids, and Vitamins A, C and B6, that help strengthen your skin tissue, and of course, prevent free radical damage from happening.

10. Tomatoes
These contain a powerful antioxidant called lycopene that helps keep free radicals at bay.

11. Whole-wheat bread
If you've got sensitive skin, stock up on whole-wheat bread, as niacin in whole grains helps inhibit redness from acne, rosacea and more, says Jody Levine, head of dermatology at Plastic Surgery & Dermatology of New York City.

12. Dark chocolate
Stressed? Indulge in a bar or two, from time to time. Cocoa and chocolate with high flavanol content helps keep skin hydrated, and prevents sun damage from happening.
