#1 Physical intimacy
We’re not talking full-on action in the bedroom (though that’s a relationship booster, too) all the time, but hugs and cuddles are proven stress-relievers since they lower levels of stress hormones like cortisol. Plus, who doesn’t love a good cuddle from their loved ones?

#2 Small surprises
As we always say, everyday can be Valentine’s Day. While splurging is not necessary, getting up early once in a while to get her favourite breakfast, leaving a sweet love note in their pockets, or even picking up his favourite Gongcha before meeting him, show you appreciate your significant other. For the guys, getting her a hot water bottle when she’s on her period will definitely score you bonus points. And if you’re on the receiving end of your partner’s affections, don’t forget to return it!

#3 Compliment him/her, sincerely
Everyone loves compliments and even more so when it comes from their dearest. Don’t pay one without meaning it though, if you’re faking it, they probably can tell. Pick out something you feel they deserve recognition for, or that you love about them and tell them.

#5 Be observant
Did she get a fabulous new haircut? Compliment her on it. Does he hate olives? Pick it out of his pizza. Knowing that you pay attention will instantly bring a smile to their faces.
#6 Share it
Some couples like to keep things private, but if you aren’t one of them, there’s no harm in telling the world how much you love your other half with sweet couple posts on social media. Just keep it occasional though – you don’t want your friends blocking you when you’re spamming their feeds with your loved up snaps.
#7 Say “Thank You”
It’s not just about manners. It’s also about showing your partner that you’re not taking them for granted. And this means even the littlest things like him opening the door for you, or her whipping up dinner (even if she does it everyday!)
#8 Reassure them
You might think you say it often enough to your partner, or that they should know it, but a reminder that they’re beautiful, of why you love them and that you’ll always have their back will uplift their spirits and strengthen your bond.
