Rico-A-Mona’s new collection highlights intricate beadwork and overall elegance. In this interview, we spoke to the team about their latest collection, inspiration, tips and more.

What is your design philosophy?
That every woman should be glamorous on her big day. Expressing a bride’s femininity and and inner beauty through our gowns is key. We use both skilled and traditional construction techniques and contemporary silhouettes for every gown.

What will brides find in your salon?
Wedding dresses that feature elegant and timeless designs that go from sophisticated minimalism to vintage-inspired numbers.

Describe your latest collection.
We’ve focused on plunging backs, illusion necklines, body-contouring seams and crisp fabrics. Embellishments include metallic gold waist belts and tiered organza flounces that mimic the gracefulness of butterfly wings.

What was your inspiration?
Vintage Hollywood, black and white movies, and red-carpet glamour.

Tips when it comes to choosing a gown?
Don’t choose a style just because it’s this season’s trend. You have to be sure that it suits you, the colour compliments your skin and you feel that you never want to take it off. And don’t be afraid to try on different styles or shapes. Make the process fun and enjoyable.
