Congratulations are in order to Andy Murray, 28, and Kim Sears, 27! The couple tied the knot in a traditional ceremony in Dunblane, Scotland, where the Wimbledon and Olympic champion was born.

The couple said their “I Dos” at 4.30pm local time, on April 11, at the Dunblane Cathedral with 150 guests, as well as fans and well-wishers present to wish them well. The reception was held at the luxury Cromlix House hotel, which Andy bought in 2013.

While the couple did not share details of their nuptials publicly, Andy tweeted an emoji-filled message for followers depicting how their big day would ensue.

Those present said florists arrived at the cathedral before the wedding armed with boxes of cherry blossom, white roses and hydrangeas.

The aisle was said to have been lined with 10 ft-high bay trees decorated with glass baubles holding candles. The reception at Cromlix House was decorated by ivory and white roses.

The bride looked lovely in a vintage long-sleeved ivory silk chiffon Jenny Packham gown with hand-beaded Swarovski crystals as well as a 3m silk tulle veil and Swarovski crystal Kalmia floral headband, while the groom donned the traditional Scottish blue and green tartan kilt.

Despite the bad weather (heavy rain, hail and even flurries of snow), the sun came out briefly to welcome Andy and his groomsmen as they entered the church. Kim wasn’t quite so lucky, as she and her bridesmaids had to head indoors quickly before her gown was drenched. The couple emerged to beautiful sunny weather after the ceremony, and left the cathedral in a car.

Andy and Kim met at the U.S. Open in 2005, and made their relationship public in 2006 when Andy won his first tournament in California. The Olympic and Wimbledon champion proposed in November 2014 after nine years together. Despite the brief break in their relationship in 2009, the couple reconciled six months after, and were together since.

Congratulations again!
