Jamie Boyd, 33, and Felix Hug, 48, opted for a personalised wedding celebration. She tells us,
“It was a lighthearted affair, we had a traditional Catholic solemnisation. The church was decorated with white, beige and green flowers. It was beautiful to see everyone enjoying themselves.
Our reception at Suburbia was a very personal choice. We wanted a proper reception, but did not like the concept of a ballroom wedding. The ambience was romantic and surreal with its suburban setting and manicured landscape. You could even see peacocks strolling around the garden! The wedding represented our varied heritage, and the reception and decoration reflected our personalities perfectly.
Everyone had a good time! It was a fantastic celebration of life, family, friendship. Both of us were very touched when Felix’s brother, Gallus, made every effort to prepare a touching speech, despite not being fluent in English.
My advice to brides? Enjoy the day and put your phone aside. It’s your day and you can always return calls or messages another time. Try to greet all your guests and thank them for sharing the day with you.”
