Congratulations are in order to former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard and his long-time girlfriend, TV presenter Christine Bleakley. The footballer, who’s currently with New York City FC and Bleakley tied the knot after six years of courtship (which included a four year-long engagement) at St. Paul’s Church in Knightsbridge, London on 20 December 2015.

Here, the things we loved best.

The wedding wardrobe
Bleakley looked amazing in a white trumpet wedding gown with lace sleeves embellished with seed pearls by top British wedding designer Suzanne Neville. We even liked that she wasn’t feeling too precious about her expensive gown to not get it through the mud post-ceremony. Lampard himself looked sharp in a black tuxedo with bow tie.

The bride’s hair and makeup
Bleakley kept her look sleek and classic with a simple yet elegant low bun. Her makeup: shimmery eyeshadow, mascara, and coral lips and cheeks which highlighted her even tan.

The venue
The couple got married in the Anglican St. Paul’s Church in Knightsbridge, London, which was built in 1843. White roses arranged by Rob Van Helden (who also did Elton John’s wedding) lined the arch at the entrance, as well as the aisles within the ornate and stately church.

The groom’s tears of joy
We love a groom who can’t contain his emotions at his wedding, and Lampard is no exception. He was said to have shed tears while making a very moving speech at the reception. Before their wedding, he has already made clear his feelings towards his bride in an interview with Red magazine. “People say opposites attract,” he said. “But when you live together, you need to be harmonious, and she’s my best friend. She’s made me content. That sounds oppy but I’ve been very happy since I’ve been with her.” Awww!

The flower girls
Lampard’s two daughters from his previous marriage, Luna and Isla, wore sweet white frocks and carried pastel posies as flowergirls.

The guest list
The list of invitees included well-known footballers, many of whom were with Lampard in the English team. They included: former Chelsea team mates John Terry, Didier Drogba and Branislav Ivanovic, former Spice Girls bandmember Emma Bunton, as well as Lampard’s cousin, Jamie Redknapp and uncle, former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp.

The after-party
Post-ceremony, the wedding party painted the town red by celebrating with an after-party at the prestigious The Art Club that lasted till 4am. British singer Ed Sheeran, who was part of the line-up, impressed and excited many of the guests, who tweeted how much of a great night they had.
