According to Guang Ming Daily, friends and fans were surprised to hear the news on Wednesday as the 36-year-old artiste had never indicated her intention to get married.

Taiwanese actress Ady An Yixuan announced on Weibo that she has married wealthy Macau businessman Chen Rong Liang on Wednesday (March 15). An wrote on Weibo: “1230 days ago, you stumbled into my world via the Anywhere Door. I spent 810 days to get to know you; who knew I would be subdued by you. Okay then, I will accompany you, eat with you, play with you till both of us grow old… The eternally young Mr Doraemon, please take care of your Mrs Chen in the future.” The Anywhere Door refers to an innovation by Japanese robot cat character Doraemon which allows the user to travel to any location.

The couple took their pre-wedding photographs in Italy recently.

An’s manager told Apple Daily that An was on an overseas work trip in November last year when Chen surprised her by turning up and proposed to her, using a ring made out from a champagne wire cage. The couple now wear custom-made wedding bands from Taiwanese jewellery-maker Cindy Chao.

An, who rose to popularity after starring in the drama series The Outsiders in 2004, is also recognised and lauded for her role in The Legend of Hero, Go, Single Lady and All Men are Brothers.
