He thanked his new wife for her love and endurance through the years, and thanked everyone for their well-wishes.

According to Taiwan’s United Daily News, the wife works in real estate and the couple dated on and off for more than 20 years, and only reconciled about two years ago.

A-do also spoke of his wedding plans in an interview with The New Paper in October 2015. He said that “after being together for such a long time, being married or unmarried does not make much difference to him personally”.

He added though, that “marriage is traditional, so it’s still meaningful. We do want children, so we will probably start trying for them soon after marriage. My wife-to-be is probably more concerned about having kids soon, as we are close in age.”
