Malaysian power couple and heirs of two business empires – Chryseis Tan of Berjaya group, and Faliq Nasimuddin of Naza Group; got wed on Friday (Feb 3) in multi-cultural private ceremony at The Chateau at Bukit Tinggi, a luxe resort in Pahang with friends and family in attendance.

The venue was decked out in dreamy floral arrangements in pastels reminiscent of a royal English garden, and a grand marquee was specially set up for the occasion, where their reception took place.

Chryseis, 29, is CEO of Berjaya Times Square, and daughter of one of Malaysia’s biggest tycoons, Vincent Tan, the founder of Berjaya Corporation.

Faliq, 33, is the fourth of five children of the late founder of Naza Group, SM Nasimuddin SM Amin. He is currently the deputy executive chairman and group managing director of real estate developr Naza TTDI.

The couple had the traditional gate-crashing in the morning before the solemnisation, with the groom showing up with 10 groomsmen in a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. They were dressed in traditional Chinese wedding attires and actively took part in the games prepared by the bridesmaids.

Faliq’s older brother, SM Nasarudin, shared a picture from the gate-crash on his Instagram account, saying: “The most hardcore Heng Dai crew to ensure Faliq secured his bride”.

Chryseis’s bridesmaids were dressed in laced cheongsams while she donned an elaborate gold and red qun kua for the morning festivities.

For their solemnisation, the bride and groom changed into matching white outfits, with Chryseis looking gorgeous in a gown by Indonesian designer Yefta Gunawan, while Faliq wore a regal traditional baju melayu with light blue and brown embroidery.

The bride’s father recited a Malay poem, according to an Instagram Story video, and in an Instagram post uploaded by Faliq’s younger sister, Nadia Nasimmudin; showed the couple being pronounced husband and wife.

Guests then proceeded to the reception where they were greeted by a romantic fairy-tale scene of soft hanging draperies and lush, cascading floral centrepieces set against crisp white linens and chiavari chairs:

The newly-weds had met as students in an international school, and started officially dating in 2014.

While travelling in Marrakesh, Morocco last year, Faliq went down on one knee and popped the question in a romantic setting with a stunning diamond ring.
