For Jin Liu, 34, and Bertrand Le Nezet, 35, a rustic farm-style wedding in Brittany, France, was the perfect setting for their happily ever after. She tells us:

jin bertrand3.jpgYour main flowers need not be large, coloured blooms. This couple shows how filler flowers like wheat, baby’s breath and white carnations work just as well.

“We’d already had a solemnisation ceremony in Singapore but we decided to hold one at the Notre Dame Church of Chartres-de-Bretagne in France, as Bertrand had been baptised there.

jin bertrand.jpgHaving the ceremony at the Notre Dame Church of Chartres-de-Bretagne meant a lot to the groom as he had been baptised there.

I was a little nervous before entering the church, but the minute I saw Bertrand waiting for me at the end of the aisle, I immediately felt at ease.

We received plenty of well-wishes during our hour-long drive from the church to the farm where our dinner reception would be held. We were in a cute
vintage Volkswagen camper, and people along the way honked at us to wish us well!

jin bertrand4.jpgDIY escort cards were pegged to a string along with a postcard of the movie which show guests which table they’re at.

It was perfect! We wouldn’t change any of it. The farm was surrounded by beautiful wheat fields, which was perfect as we both love nature and the outdoors.

jin bertrand7.jpgInstead of gifts, the couple sought help for their “discover Peru” fund.

jin bertrand8.jpg“I just wanted to enjoy every minute of the wedding and engrave it in my memory forever.” – Jin

We were blessed with great weather, and released sky lanterns into the night. We also surprised our guests with a salsa performance, and partied till late.

Having a theme helped me to decide on the colour scheme and style of our wedding. I strongly recommend that brides do their research on their theme, vendors and venues, as it will pay off.”
