Indian actress Priyanka Chopra and American singer Nick Jonas tied the knot with a string of lavish wedding celebrations in Jodphur, India last weekend.

The couple recently released more photos from their happy nuptials – including the actress’s huge fashion moment as she walked down the aisle during their western ceremony in a custom Ralph Lauren high-neck wedding gown, completed with a dramatic 75 foot-long tulle veil.

It took five people to help carry her long veil, which could be clearly seen even from an aerial view captured by video during the ceremony.

“We had been talking to a bunch of incredible designers, but ultimately when Ralph Lauren approached us, I learned that Ralph has only designed three wedding dresses in 50 years – one for his daughter, his daughter-in-law, and his niece. I was blown away” Chopra told People magazine.

The hand-beaded and hand-embroidered gown featured floral and scroll motifs, lace tulle appliques, 135 satin buttons and a high-neck collar.

Chopra also requested for the names of family members and traditional mantras that speak to their love to be embroidered on the gown, as well as a piece of her mother-in-law’s lace wedding dress.

And get this, underneath the gown was a strapless column dress made of over two million mother of pearl sequins! So it’s no surprise that it took a total of 1,826 hours to complete the gown, according to Ralph Lauren.

Her second wedding gown, worn for the Hindu ceremony, was just as breath-taking.

The custom red lehenga with a matching red veil by Sabayasachi took over 3,720 hours and 110 embroiderers to make.

“Being able to have two big weddings, in India, with our closest family and friends was unbelievably special.” Chopra told People about the two ceremonies.

The stars got engaged in July after a whirlwind romance of two months.
