“We used to be colleagues, but only saw each other in passing. Then Felicia left the company, and I later moved into the area where she lived, which made us practically neighbours. Our friendship began after she became my unofficial food guide to our neighbourhood. We started dating in 2014 and by mid-2015, I knew sge was the one I wanted to marry.” says Wee.
Felicia and Wee’s solemnisation was filled with smiles and laughter.
“I proposed to Felicia at the McDonalds outlet where we had our first date. She was so surprised that she took a while to recover. Luckily, she said ‘yes,” says Wee. “I was in my PJs and glasses! That was how unprepared I was,” quips Felicia.
Felicia’s gown was a romantic bustier number designed by Vaughn Tan, with cascading ruffles at the back, and a sheer lace and tulle train – which allowed for her striking red heels to peek through.
Their solemnisation venue at Le Meridien Singapore, Sentosa, was transformed into a bright and vibrant space thanks to fuchsia and orange blooms. The stage was dressed with a vividly hued floral arch that made for a pretty backdrop as the couple exchanged their vows.
The decor, including this cheery tablescape, was inspired by Felicia’s love for food and Wee’s love for South America. The result? A fun Spanish-style fiesta, with various dishes served as tapas.
Multi-hued streamers hung above food carts at the reception added a dramatic yet playful ambience.
