Leon Lai now Heavenly Dad, welcomes baby girl

According to Hong Kong newspapers, 51-year-old pop star Leon Lai is now a father. He had earlier confirmed news of his assistant Wing Chan's pregnancy.

Heavenly King Leon Lai is now reportedly a Heavenly Dad, and the last of Hong Kong's "Heavenly Kings" to be a father, after Aaron Kok and Moka Fang delivered a baby girl last September.

According to Hong Kong newspapers, the Cantopop star and his assistant Wing Chan welcomed a baby girl yesterday (23 April).

A month ago, the 51-year-old singer-actor had confirmed news that Wing, 32, was pregnant, but had also said in a Facebook post that he would protect his family members against media exposure. He did not specify if the two had gotten wed.

According to online news site ETtoday, the delivery was expected in end-May but Wing went into labour early. Both the mother and child are healthy, with the baby weighing about 2.3kg.

We're still waiting for official news of the birth as the star and his friends have kept mum about it, although fans have congratulated the couple on his social media sites, according to Ming Pao Daily (via The Straits Times).

On the same day, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate, have welcomed a new royal baby
