Yes, you read that right.

After attending the 2019 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, the couple surprised everyone by getting married yesterday (May 2) in true Las Vegas style with an Elvis impersonator officiating their wedding.

To top it all off, the ceremony enjoyed a rather unusual kind of media coverage, in the form of producer and DJ, Diplo, who live-streamed it on Instagram Stories. Which, we're guessing, also works out fine for fans of the celebrity couple.

In the live stream clips, Joe, 29, can be seen waiting at the alter for Sophie, 23, who walked down the aisle in a white jumpsuit and veil, while country music duo Dan + Shay performed their song "Speechless".

His brothers, Nick and Kevin Jonas, can also be seen joining in the serenade.

The couple then held hands and recited their vows, saying: “I promise you, I will never leave you. I will love and trust you, all the days of my life,” they said. “In sickness and in health… forever and ever.”

Held at the Chapel L'Amour inside A Little White Wedding Chapel, the ceremony reportedly only cost less than US$600, which is a stark contrast to his younger brother, Nick Jonas's lavish wedding events when he tied the knot to Priyanka Chopra.

The newlyweds met in 2016, and got engaged a year later in October 2017.

It is rumoured that they might be having a more formal wedding ceremony in France later this year, with close friends like Maisie Williams in attendance.

Congratulations to the two!
