Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are engaged after dating for two years!
The couple was on a romantic beach getaway at the Bahamas when Rodriguez popped the question.
Lopez took to Instagram to post a picture of her massive engagement ring on her finger along with eight heart symbols for her caption.
Her newly-minted fiancé shared the same picture on his Instagram, with the caption, “She said yes”.
Funnily enough, Lopez also remembered to tag Ellen DeGeneres in the post, and the television host commented “Yes. I’ll be your maid of honor” in reply.
DeGeneres had previously offered to help plan their wedding and had actually flat-out asked Lopez in November, “So, you’ll be getting married?”
According to ring experts, the singer’s emerald-cut diamond ring is estimated to be between 10 and 15 carats, and that it could be worth between US$1 million to US$5 million.
This is Lopez’s fifth engagement. She was previously married to Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998, backup dancer Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003, and was briefly engaged to Ben Affleck from 2002 to 2004. She then tied the knot with Marc Anthony in 2004 and divorced in 2014, with whom she share twins Max and Emme.
Rodriguez was previously married from 2002 to 2008 to Cynthia Scurtis, and has two daughters, Natasha and Ella.
The couple began dating in February 2017, with Lopez first approaching Rodriguez. They bonded over their similarities and he eventually asked her out for a dinner date.
The couple then made their official red carpet debut at the Met Gala in May 2017 and have been inseparable ever since.

“I understand him in a way that I don’t think anyone else could and he understands me in a way that no one else could ever,” Lopez told Vanity Fair.
“We put so much pressure on ourselves to be great, to be the best all the time. We understood that about each other. When we came together it was, ‘Oh my God, I was the same way.’”
Rodriguez also gushed about their relationship to Extra in June 2017.
“Our kids get along really well. We’re both from New York, we’re both Latin, we’re both in our 40s, we’re really enjoying life, but she really is one of the most impressive and smartest human beings I have ever met.”
Congrats to the couple and their families!
