“We first met when I interviewed him on my show. I was a student deejay with Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s Radio Heatwave. But it was only five years later, when we met again through a mutual friend, that the sparks flew,” says Audrey.

The decor was simple and elegant with a colour theme of white, green, gold and dark brown.

“We chose Il Lido for our solemnisation and dinner reception as we both love Italian food and have fond memories of our holidays in Italy. Everything was perfect – from the gorgeous views of the sunset and sea to the delicious food. Part of the fun came from keeping guests busy with activities. There was a quiz (winners won vouchers), instant hair makeovers, an open bar, and dancing.

Every table had fun facts about the couple.

I nearly cried twice! I first felt the urge during the ceremony. I was very emotional and couldn’t wait to marry the love of my life! The next was when Leslie’s surprise video message suddenly came up on the screen during the reception. I was very touched.”

On the top tier: a 6.6cm iced red velvet cake for the cake cutting ceremony. Other tiers had cupcakes in four flavours.

Guests wrote their best wishes on black and white pebbles.

The bridesmaids wore their own dresses in varying sea glass hues.
