Melinda Edwards, 46, and Andrew Beer, 45, had a simple ceremony in beautiful Bali. She tells us:
It was meant to be, Andrew and I met at work and grew close after having worked together for a number of years. We share a common respect for each other, understand one another intimately and communicate on many levels. We have been blessed to have found true love and happiness at this stage in our lives.
We celebrated our wedding at the Bale Kencana at the Ayana Resort and Spa in Bali. The weather was perfect, and we had the Indian Ocean as our backdrop.
The ceremony was an intimate one with a few family members and friends. My two older boys, Chris and Matt, gave me away while my youngest son James was the ring-bearer. As both our fathers have passed on and our mothers could not attend, I carried photos of both parents on their wedding days in my bouquet; this gesture meant a lot to our mums.
Every part of the celebration was fantastic and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Our wedding has been captured in our minds and hearts forever.
I would advise brides to relax and enjoy their special day. What’s important is to focus on your union and what it means to you.
