8 pretty ideas from Taiwan's Sunny Wang and Dominique Choy's Australian wedding

SEE PHOTOS: The celebrity couple, who got married on 27 December 2015 in Sydney, checked all the right boxes when it comes to sophisticated, elegant and tasteful weddings.

When Sunny Wang and Dominique Choy released their sexy wedding pictures taken in Sydney just days before their wedding, we were expecting a full-on, OTT bash that was worthy of The Great Gatsby, or not least, something similar to fellow celebrity Jay Chou's celebrations.

So you can imagine our surprise when we found an album that practically fulfills a bride's dreams of becoming a princess for a day. All we can say is, Ms Choy, you are one lucky lady! Here, the things you'll want to pin on your Pinterest board.

1. The fairytale garden theme
The couple, who've known each other for almost 10 years and dated on and off since 2007 (they broke up briefly, but got back together in December 2014), made their union official in the sprawling countryside 140-year-old Swifts manor at Darling Point. The venue was filled with intoxicating green landscapes dotted with crystal chandeliers, the aisle, lined with lush white flower arrangements.

2. The music
Dominique walked down the aisle to the tunes of British indie band The xx's Intro, which is unconventional, yet fitting with the theme.

3. The wedding arch
Instead of an arch or arbour dressed with flowers, the couple exchanged vows beneath a century-old tree with a structure draped with white billowy fabric that was romantic and ethereal at the same time.

4. The venue
After the solemnisation ceremony, everyone adjourned to lunch in a beautiful custom greenhouse that was also decked out in rows of overgrown plants, flower arrangements and crystal lights. On every long table: glass lamps with candles, as well as white rose centrepieces that dotted each place setting.

5. The bridal outfits
Dominique walked down the aisle in a captivating custom couture A-line gown with illusion sleeves and lace details, which she co-designed with Taiwanese bridal designer WTC Studio, with a forty-foot train, while Sunny looked dapper in a white tux by Zegna. The couple wore matching red outfits - him in a traditional Chinese costume with cap and queue, her in a fitting scarlet cheongsam with mesh sleeves - for the tea ceremony. The bride then wore a sexy blue Paolo Sebastian number with illusion details for the evening reception.

6. The bridal transport
Instead of a limousine, Dominique arrived at her venue in a splendid horse carriage.

7. The family photos
When you're all dressed up (like the couple, and both sets of parents), the photos are bound to look great. Sunny and Dominique's mothers wore matching champagne-hued gowns, while both their fathers wore black tuxes.

8. The entertainment
The couple's 250 guests were treated to a five-minute firework display during the dinner reception, which, we're sure, rounded off the night with a resounding bang.

Congrats again!
