Love story We met in church and knew each other for some time, but only started dating about three years ago.
Just the two of us In October, Leo wanted to propose at the Bow Bridge in Central Park or High Line, a New York City public park built on a historic freight rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan’s West Side, but both were too crowded. In the end, he asked me in our hotel room, which was what I really wanted, and it turned out to be so much more meaningful. Truly a time I will always cherish.
Sun, sea & sky We had two celebrations – one in Bali and the other here. Our goal was to keep both events really intimate so guests would walk away knowing a little more about each of us.
The one in Bali was held in Alila Villas Uluwatu. It was really a private affair with our nearest and dearest. Our pastor officiated our ceremony against a truly picturesque skyline. The evening continued with a Balinese family-style meal, fireworks and dancing the whole night through.
The dinner in Singapore was held at the Intercontinental Hotel a week later. Despite the big turn-out, we tried to keep it as intimate as possible. We were really happy to have our extended families and friends join us. To create a fun, heartwarming atmosphere, we had guests fill in cards at their tables and played couple games on stage.
Family love Celebrating with our nearest and dearest was one of the highlights. Another memorable bit was the wedding speech by my brothers. Everything felt so surreal and I had to fight back my tears while walking down the aisle to Leo because I could not believe I was marrying my best friend.
