When a longtime customer of Tiffany’s requested to propose to his girlfriend in the New York store, not only did the jewellery brand arrange for a luncheon for two in the richly appointed library overlooking Central Park, a world-renowned chef also prepared the couple’s favorite dishes which were served on the client’s custom Limoges china. The woman, who had thought that the luncheon was meant to acknowledge her boyfriend’s loyalty as a Tiffany customer, was in for a surprise: A hand-painted porcelain box held the Tiffany ring, while a photographer waited in the wings to capture the perfect moment amidst an enchanting setting.

After purchasing an engagement ring from a Tiffany store in the Midwest, a customer asked to propose in the flagship store in New York, where he was about to visit with his girlfriend. It was to be on the store’s elegant staircase, which they had marvelled at on previous visits. His request was granted.
On the appointed day and hour, store personnel stopped traffic on the staircase and the couple descended the steps. After reaching the landing, the young man dropped to his knee and presented the iconic blue box. News of the engagement rippled through the crowd of customers, who erupted in applause. The happy couple was further presented with roses and escorted to a private salon for a champagne toast.

A gentleman from Portugal mentioned to Danielle, a sales professional, that he was hoping to purchase an engagement ring for his girlfriend while the couple were in New York. As he has no idea on how he planned to propose, only wanting to surprise her, Danielle devised a plan.
When the couple returned to the store later that afternoon, supposedly to try on engagement rings, Danielle ushered them to a private salon and brought with her three rings, including the ring the man had purchased earlier. A ticket with the item number and carat weight was attached to each ring, and on the designated ring, Danielle had attached a ring that bore the words, “Will you marry me?” in Portuguese. The woman was moved to tears.
