The couple took the city of Venice by storm, as they tied the knot in September 27, 2014, with the number of high-profile guests (including Matt Damon, Bill Murray and Emily Blunt), as well as the details (the towering Art Deco cake! The wedding outfits! The fanfare that was the parade of water taxis speeding down the Grand Canal!)

The human rights lawyer looked a dream in white as she wed the Hollywood star in a custom-made floor length Oscar de la Renta gown that was equal parts romantic and elegant. The dress was made of ivory tulle, Chantilly lace and had embroidered crystals and beading.

The venue of choice? Only the best will do for George and his wife. The wedding party took up residence at the Aman Canal Grande, Venice’s first 7-star luxury hotel, where the celebrations went on. The couple then retired after the party in a suite that cost £3,000 (about $6,155) per night.

Their wedding in May 24, 2014 was every bit as gorgeous and grand as expected, going by the pictures that were released online and on the couple’s Instagram accounts.

Kim walked down the aisle in a bespoke fit and flare Givenchy Haute Couture gown by Riccardo Tisci with sheer sleeves and a cut-out back that skimmed her famous curves, and a dramatic cathedral-length veil. It was said that the couple’s famous floral backdrop at the wedding was made to match the reality star’s dress.

The couple exchanged vows at the majestic 16th century Forte di Belvedere in Florence, Italy. The venue reportedly cost USD$400,000 ($524,720).

You know you’re in good hands when Anna Wintour’s got your wedding plans under control. The son of the famed Vogue editrix married his bride, who he met while studying in Oxford University, in a rustic celebration amongst family and friends.

Guests included leading lights of the fashion industry: Andre Leon Talley, Mario Testino, Prabal Gurung, Baz Luhrmann and Oscar de la Renta. Other details we loved: white Longchamp umbrellas, bridesmaids in Prada, and beautiful lush arrangements in pastel hues.

The 27-year-old bride turned heads in a bespoke A-line gown by Oscar de la Renta with embroidered lace details and shoulders wrapped in tulle (no less, really, when your future mother-in-law calls the shots in the industry).

The couple’s stylish outdoor celebrations on June 28, 2014, were held at Anna’s seaside abode in Mastic, Long Island.

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson

Jessica Simpson looked every inch the blushing bride as she made her union official with former NFL player Eric Johnson. The couple got married after a three and a half year-long engagement on July 5, 2014, and have two children together, 2-year-old Maxwell Drew and 1-year-old Ace Knute.

Jessica literally glowed in a custom-made strapless Champagne-coloured Carolina Herrera gown with gold embroidery. The bride’s inspiration board was filled with fabrics inspired by Baroque details.

The couple and their 250 guests had a great time at the San Ysidro ranch in Santa Barbara, California.

Jamie Lynn Spears and James (Jamie) Watson

We still can’t believe Britney Spears’ baby sister is married! The 23-year-old married her businessman beau in a traditional Southern-style wedding in March 14, 2014, after a year-long engagement.

Jamie Lynn met her groom in a white mermaid V-necked lace Liancarlo gown with floral details, long train and a floor-length veil. The bride later revealed that comfort was her priority as she wore a pair of fluffy brown UGG boots under her exquisite dress.

Jamie Lynn and Jamie tied the knot at the stately Audubon Tea Room in New Orleans.
